DK's ramblings made me think of something. How can those bootlegs be smaller then the originals? The ones that Marty posted are almost exact duplicates except they are like 1/4 inch shorter (give or take). Marty, how is this possible? Do the molds expand and make the produced figure a bit smaller? How come your stuff doesnt do that?
**Edit-I am reffering to the LB bootlegs not all the bootlegs.
That is a great question...
The reason the bootlegs are smaller is due to the cheap plastic and shrinkage.
My plastic has like 0.00000000000000009% or something ridiculous like that shrinkage...so basically the human eye cannot detect the micro bit of shrinkage. Not to mention, my plastic is UV resistant and these like most toys are made of the cheapest plastics out there and will discolor/fade or even dry rot the plastic (that white dust you see on old Star Wars, Battlestar Galactica, etc...
I thought about molding the Mexican bootlegs...but, honestly I really don't think that most will want repros of them because I only made like 8 sets of Canadian War Monsters for collectors...so whats the point.
