Rise of the Beasts - Prototypes and Test Shots!

I wanted to give you a quick update on the latest news.
We have just sent off payment for the metal injection molds for the first two figures in the line.
In regards to the factory, this is a solid factory with an excellent reputation in our collector group, for putting out top quality figures. It is actually the factory that we would have loved to work with initially. Needless to say, we are extremely excited!!!
In regards to the figures, we are going to be leading off with the Rhino and the Scorpion. The Lion, Ape and other figures will come in later releases. Another major change is that instead of only having articulation at the shoulders, these will have 4 points. Neck, waist and shoulders. Some characters may have an additional joint. For example, the tail on the scorpion is articulated at the base. Note: These figures will scale in at around 60mm tall.
Here are some resin prototypes that we had cast up and black-washed (thanks to Luke at imperfecz).
We should see some test shots in the next 8-10 weeks and will post more then.
A HUGE THANK YOU to all of you who have believed in this project from the start. There have been a ton of snags these last two years but we are now within a few months of having this dream become reality. You all ROCK!!!

These guys look amazing. By the time these suckers come out I should be done by original battle beast collection, so this'll be a good new thing to pick up as add-ons. It's so over-used, but shut up and take my money!!!

Wow, those look amazing! They really capture the spirit of the original BB's, especially with their armor! I'm definitely going to buy a couple of these to re-paint whenever they're released!

So when do you take our money?
And forgive me if it's already been mentioned, but do you have a possible estimated price?

I am hoping to have production figures in hand to sell by the end of October, but that is a very rough estimate. So when do you take our money?

Based on costs, the figures should be around $5 each unpainted or $8 painted. If we can order enough to take advantage of quantity discounts, the price should be less.
A lot is really going to depend on how much it costs to ship them here once they are done.

Almost cried at the beautiful prices! Didn't cry though. I am only allowed to shed one single man-tear a week. Need to save it incase of a puppy battle or a major accident.

Hi everyone! Test shots arrived today from China. These are the first figures run off the production molds. I figured that instead of just some pics, I would make a little video. Forgive me while I stumble over my words, but I am ecstatic to finally be at this point!
We are working on getting the paint specifics to the factory, so we can get a final price on the painted figures. Once we do, we can order our first batch of monos (unpainted) and fully painted figures. The first batch will also include the gold versions of these two.
We'll keep you posted an any updates.
Until then, here are some pics for you guys!

wow it's awesome to see these evolve as they have; these final test shots look amazing!
And I don't think I noticed this before but I think it's great that you decided to go with un-articulated legs.

As far as weapons go, we actually haven't designed ones for the Rhino or Scorpion yet. But the current thinking is that we will have the weapons all done together in one mold, so we can run them in metallics, instead of the figures base color.

great idea!
Based on the style of the figures I'm assuming weapons will be melee, but I can't help but ponder the possibly of...laser rifles?

I missed the whole BB craze in my early days, but were always jealous of the other kids who had them. Now, I'm fully on board for these guys and plan on making a bunch of kids cry when I show them off. And then take them away. Mwahaha.
