U.S.Toy Company is a store here in plano that specializes in party goods and novelties. I went in there with no expectations, but I'm a loyal shopper now.

Oh WOW, those are absolutely wonderful! I must have some!

How much do you want for a few bags?? I'll sextuple what you paid!

Also just realized that the squid-like mold is the same as a toy we all failed to identify in the ID board. I guess it was generic! That one was all nicely painted though....

What is the consistency of the rubber like?

More firm than muscles, but not rigid enough to be damaged by moving.

their website is www.ustoy.com. Haven't been there yet, so I don't know if these can be ordered there. At 99cents a dozen, I'll be clearing out my local store anyway. They are called transparent creatures.

Edit: here's the direct link:Transparent creatures search under creatures.

They also have these, under skeleton fossils:

I have a bunch of these! I bought them well over ten years ago. They're far cooler than your average rubber bug; they have great detailing (can't see it in this pic) and have their latin name printed underneath.

Yeah! That's one of the things that drew me to buy them way back then, even though they were a bit expensive (and still are, on that site). I think I ended up getting about 5 of them, including the lower-right-most round bug, the greenish-black beetle 2 above him, and the long-antennaed beetle near the top.

Went back and bought the last six bags they had. Here's three sealed bags, some loose extras, and a nearly complete set (the eyeball bug in blue is all I'm lacking now)

Attached File  Teeceelooce.jpg   72.31K   25 downloads

I'll part with the bags and the loose extras at the price I bought them at, 1.00 a dozen, plus actual shipping (not inflated ship like the e-guys). Send me a pm. hopefully they'll restock soon.

Like I mentioned, we had a picture in Toy Identification with one of these guys full painted, it was gorgeous. I want to see othe starfish-eye in color! And the ant-eyeball! Heck, all of them...

I really can't get over that these figures even exist. They have no apparent ties to a video game or franchise but they're SO freaking detailed and creatively planned out! They look like video game enemies

I know it's not the same... but I can always do custom LRG paint jobs on commission if one wanted.....

It'd be perfectly sufficient if I had that kinda money...just paying $20 to order these and some other stuff was a BIG fat rule-breaking for my current situation! :o

With these being some kind of generic party-favor molds, any paint job is as "official" as any other.

Too bad we'll probably never know how these tie into your painted pic. I'd have liked to have seen the full set of eight painted, but I probably would have chosen the paintless clears anyway. If these weren't just a generic line, we might've gotten a 2nd wave, or a bigger color assortment.

Any information on the package about where they may come from? They might have bought the molds from somewhere.

No, all their are sold in identical bags that just say "KID FUN!" and "MADE IN CHINA." The same bags are used by some dollar store chains and other party stores.

It wouldn't be ustoy that owns the molds, either. I've already found these listed on several other party supply websites, they're just from some generic supplier.
