He replied to my PM and said it's the same as all his other MUSCLEs...

"He is infact a real muscle. Harder plastic, with the y/s.n.t on the back and thee same color as all the others I have."

I say downgrade DE to Class C - no, infact lets create Class D - they're popping up all the time.......:-p

I live in San Diego CA. Very Far from the canadian border. LOL. I collect muscles but am selling them all. (See my ebay auctions) I am very sure he is a legit muscle. I will post a bunch of pics tomarrow. He is exactly like all the other muscles I have. I don't have any japanese ones. And yes he is for sale. I have a lot of feedback all over the videogame forums and ebay.
.
What did the last one sell for? When was that? I see 1200$ in 2010. None have showed up sence then?

Thanx, RASK1904

Can you please send a link to your ebay items for sale?

Also, since you're new here and don't really have any history - might I suggest that you list Dark Emperor on eBay and post us a message here when you have?

That way, the eBay buyer protection scheme will be in place and your item will be exposed to more people than just our board members.....And make it 'Worldwide Shipping' so that us poor folk in the UK, Australia and elsewhere can have a shot at it :)

Just a thought
Cheers
John

How and where did you get this figure? Do you remember if you bought it in a 4 pack, 10 pack, or 28 pack?

The last DE sold for $1550. This makes the third DE known (you, me, and Alex). A different Super Rare just sold for $1770, but that was a special case. The guy who won it and I both wanted it badly because it had blue marks on it. I don't know if DE will go for $1550 again, but it still has a LOT of potential. Ask around what the STARTING price should be.

If you want to skip the Ebay fees, you can get with the owner of this website Jkaris and coordinate an auction. If you do, I recommend you run it like the last SR auction on this board. Have it end at a good time (when people aren't at work or have to stay up late). Don't have it end 11:59pm any standard time. Make sure the time makes sense from East coast to West coast. Have it end on a weekend too (later in the day). Also, to prevent snipers (like myself), have a rule that if there is a bid within the last hour, have it restart another hour. I think the last one ended at 5pm EST on a Saturday.

Remember this too, yes a lot of M.U.S.C.L.E. collectors come to this board, BUT if you put the auction on this website you're leaving out some people. Thing with Ebay is it reaches a lot more people. My opinion, I think it would do just fine on this website. If you choose Ebay, make sure you put a link for it here.

Also, let this auction run its course. If you go with Ebay, DO NOT put a Buy It Now feature on it/talk you into selling it early.

If you haven't already read this thread, take a look (SR thread): http://www.littlerub...?showtopic=2420

Blurry pictures, no link to feedback, no link to auctions - the red flag goes up for me.

I hope to be proven overly cautious.

I see what you mean - but even through the blurryness, it resembles a MUSCLE figure. It has a 'shine' that kinnikuman and keshi don't seem to have.

And he did post it at half past midnight his time...he may actually want to go to bed and photo stuff tomorrow!

however....

Wouldn't have taken long to post a link to his eBay items for sale to gauge his feedback.

And his photos are just too blurry - for someone who sells on eBay and should know what makes a good picture - especially to a bunch of niche collectors like ourselves.

He probably hurriedly took a picture with his phone and used that - since it was so late and didn't want to wake the household whilst creating the perfect studio for his DE to be photo'd in...

No red flag for me yet - but the man with the orange flag is beginning to draw that sucker up the flagpole....

;)

a Google search of 'RASK1904' shows lots of results and feedback from various Nintendo and Sega forums - seems legit and pretty genuine. Well-respected member of those communities.

Now, Roger, in return I am sure you'll see me Dark Emperor for, say, $20?

Ah, oh well then .....

John, if you go after this one, I think your wife will take the pillow, sheets, and tent away she left you after Dr. Bonbe was bought. :teehee:

I'd say your best bet is eBaying it along with really high res comparison pics. You can post a link here in the Got Toys section once it is up. You'll likely get at least $900 for it, if not more. Depends on who's willing to skip a mortgage payment or not.

BTW, welcome to the board. :)

Vette, this is not an option for brand new members selling high dollar items, sorry. Just a security precaution. :)

Hahahaha!! You're right! I really don't see myself going whole-heartedly into this auction though. I would pay up to a set amount for it...

But I do have another load of MUSCLEs on their way in which are setting me back a very pretty penny - this DE is happening at just the wrong time for me. Don't think I actually want it THAT bad .....

However, if the pics are very impressive I might have a second look..

One small thing though - if you look at the back of DE (on the pics he has provided) you will see a mark..is it ink or is it 4-pack remnants - maybe it'll clean right off - or not.

High res pics should answer some of these questions.

That makes sense. Good idea.

I see what you're talking about. That would s**k if it was a permanent marker/ink mark.

The only way I could see it working is if said new member actually mailed you the item and you operated as an "honest broker" for the sale. But I can't see many people going for that.

SD is right, that would be the only way.

In fact, I was once asked (or offered? ) to do that on a really big trade/deal. Both guys were nervous and had very limited feedback, maybe none? It never went forward, but I'm kind of surprised that doesn't happen more often.

Why do these types of things never end well? It's very discouraging. There's got to be a Southern California collector who can just buy this in person if it's real. San Diego isn't too far from Arizona...

Digital Press.... http://digitpress.com/
Atari Age.... http://www.atariage....23178-rask1904/

I am also a member on Sega Age, Shmups, Sega 16, Yo Joe, and now here! But these places the time and feedback is minimal.
I will get some awesome pics today/tonight. The stuff on the back might be the blue 4 pack stuff. It will/would come right off, but I'll leave it for now. You guys have nothing to worry about. I am legit and so is this muscle. Roger.
