Hey guys, not sure how many of you are also PS II junkies, but in the last few issues of Official U.S. Playstation Magazine there has been some discussion of M.U.S.C.L.E. toys because of the release of the new Ulitmate MUSCLE game. The reviewer of the game made some comments about how cool the toys were in a nastalgic 80's way, so I sent an email with a link to the Spinning Head Ashura Man I sold on Ebay to Philly Madison. I was surprised when I got my copy of issue # 83 in the mail yesterday. I was thumbing through it and sure enough on page 20 there was my letter with a huge picture of Philly's SHA! I thought you guys might get a kick out of it...

So, is this Spinning Head Guy worth as much as they say in the PS2 mag? I have a whole mess of these MUSCLE guys and I do have one of those pink spinning head guys with the head and everything. That would be sweet!

OptimusGeorge, check out this thread to be sure you really have the figure in the magazine:

Rare M.U.S.C.L.E.s

This is a good read as well: Nathan's M.U.S.C.L.E. Page!

Yep... I checked out those links and I'm 100% sure that I have one. I remember getting it and like the one link said... separating it from the body like it was a model. Both my brother and I thought it was the absolute coolest MUSCLE figure ever made.

Sweet! Do you remember what M.U.S.C.L.E. packaging it came in? For instance, was it in a 4-Pack or a 10-Packs garbage can? You should really feel free to share as much info as you can that you remember about this figure. All of us here have been trying to uncover the mysteries behing the Super Rares, especially Spinning Head Ashuraman and Blackhole Sunshine, for quite some time now.

We'd love to here your stories behind how you got it, what packaging it was in, where you got it, etc...

I know it wasn't in a garbage can. I never bought one of those sets. I remember getting my figures from 4 packs and 28 packs. I am going out on a limb saying that I got him in a 28 pack because I don't think he was visible when I got him. Meaning he was hidden by that big star burst. But again, I'm going out on a limb.

I just read Nathan's 28 set page again and it looks like it couldn't have come from a 28 pack if they had certain figures in the set. So I guess it was a 4 pack. Again... I guess. :woot:

That'd be sweet! It would end all the skepticism too. Just post the pix here when you get a chance.

Where were you living when you bought it? There are a few theories on where they were issued. :)

All of your skeptic ways will be nullified... don't worry! :D But seriously, my mom worked at a department store called Gee Bee in Chambersburg, PA. She was the department manager of toys and she would buy them for me and my brother all of the time. I remember looking at the damn thing and wondering why the head was connected to his hand... it was like an epiphany when I realized the head fit into the hole. He instantly became the ultimate MUSCLE character in our group of friends.

Well, if he's got one, that means that the Canadian only release is shot to hell.

True, maybe they were in 4-Packs the the SC? :) However, still close to Canada.

And he even remembers the head still being attached to the hand. I think that is sweet. Too bad it was not left attached. That SHA would be worth a fortune if it still had the head attached to the hand. :D

I just wish that we could find one in packaging!
