That looks great, Knux.

One critical observation I would make is that, if you feel up to it, is to change the top image with different Kinnikuman DVD covers. A different image that changes at random.

But otherwise, keeping it simple works best.

I would but one, I don't have flash, and two, I actually have to redraw some of the covers art because they're more long than wide. D=

.... ASHURAMAN. <3

Could ya', if possible, share the DVD covers with me? I love the artwork.

I don't have all of them and I can't remember for the life of me where I found them. D= But here's what I do have.

Chapter 178: I think this chapter was originally in color, hence why it looks so weird.

The dreaded "magazine to manga novel" tinting.

It's the only possible explanation.

At least Jump doesn't do full-color chapters anymore. Just pages. (or do they?)

180: Erm... yeah, it's missing some pages... Someone help us.

And that's the end of volume 14! Sorry for taking so long, but the Robin Mask fight bored the heck out of me. As usual, thanks to everyone involved. This arc is about half-over, so we're almost there! The next volume also contains the big, red guy that everyone wants to see. (although most people don't realize Akuma Shogun's red in the manga...)

Also, the site finally looks like a site, and not a text document. Great work.

By the way, while searching for a good pic of Akuma Shogun, I stumbled up a page from one of our scans on a Google image search, so I decided to see why someone had used it. It turns out that somebody else found calling the Frilled-neck lizard "The most terrifying lizard of all!" utterly hilarious.

(In retrospect, I think the timing on Kinnikuman's "Oh, god!" is one of the funniest moments in the series)

Ew, red Shogun? The way Yude colors him now, they make his arms and legs a different color from the armor...

And thanks, Tash. =3 I know it's simple/kinda small but I can always tweak it some.

Kids (and particularly American elitist otaku) today don't get Kinnikuman, and I'm not expecting them to do so. It's dated, cheesy and a bit strange, but this series was big and important for it's period in the early-mid 80s. I guess with everything from the most innocent kids series to the most brutal and adult series of today around, people really don't care too much about what path lead them to this moment...but I guess we're different for loving this silly little wrestling manga.

BTW: I've been busy all this week and have been working on another project, but I'm back on Kinnikuman hopefully for the rest of the week...

Chp. 187:
Sunshine: EARTH!
The Ninja: FIRE!
Ashuraman: WI...(gets knocked aside)
Sneagator: GATOR!
Planetman: WATER!
Junkman: HEART!
Akuma Shogun: Knights, with your powers combined, I am AKUMA SHOGUN!

(Yeah, I've been waiting to do this one, you can probably tell from the prep-work): http://mangahelpers..../releases/11017

Chp. 188: And now for another of Geronimo's "human" powers: TWO PLACES AT THE SAME TIME!: http://mangahelpers..../releases/11018

That, and manga publishers only advertise the most Otaku popular series (Read: cliched crap that has been done so many times but it's legions of fans will stand by it). They will make the publisher money, but they won't have anything else to show for it except releasing some good manga.

See: Naruto and Fullmetal Alchemst. Naruto is popular and gets good release windows. FMA does not. C wat I did thr?

Del Ray is more worthy of my loyality.

Naruto's release window is actually a very important experiment on Viz's part. They're trying to see if releasing manga closer to the Japanese release will increase sales enough to start doing regularly (in other words, they're trying to compete with the scanlators, similar to what the anime industry recently started doing). If it does, then they might start doing it with other series from now on.

Plus, in 3 months, FMA will only be 2 volumes behind Japan.

I have little hope Vizzy will do something that nice. If your series does not have a rabid fanbase, they won't get those release windows.

Viz isn't worthy of my Canadian money.

Well, considering that Viz still has the license for Nisei, I don't think that'll happen unless they drop the series.

Sadly, the Tag arc only introduces four characters...and two of them are uber cool. (and neither, at least now, are Kendaman and Screw Kid)

That's what really irritates me. Everyone loves to talk about how awesome that arc was, but in reality they're just praising Neptuneman and Big the Budo. Everyone seems to ignore how blasted slow the arc is. I remember while reading through Muscle Brothers vs. 4D Fusion, I kept thinking "this fight STILL hasn't ended?".

It's an awful, awful arc. Luckily, the Throne Arc actually has backstory to fill in the space with, so it doesn't drag nearly as much.

I think the slowness of this arc probably explains the way that the current tag arc in Nisei is going at an even slower pace...as if "snails-pace" isn't bad enough. We'll see soon enough I guess, but I think that Neptuneman/Big the Budo are just so cool that people forget about the negatives that this arc ends up causing.
