Unless they're new molds, cast from the figures themselves. This throws a HUGE wrench into the broken/damaged mold theory.

Also, I'm very anxious to see how part 21 Satan Cross and his legs are arranged. (Now, having said that, I'm wondering how they are arranged in the Perfect Collection... are they attached or not? Arforbes?)

If memory serves me right, Didn't veers determine that Bandai no longer had the original molds? Or am I thinking wrong? Can't really remember.
Also the Perfect Collection only goes up to part 13 soups.

The set costs so much because of the DVDs. In Japan, a 2 DVD Kinnikuman G1 set costs roughly $100. The full set costs $1700 or so. In this set, the keshi are pretty much a give away to buy the DVD set all at once.I'm more inclined to think these are recasts of the actual figures. Which may be the reason the set costs so much. Especially if the research team had to buy each of them. Or at least get some of the Reissues to reissue.

There are also rumors of them re-releasing them in capsules in vending machines too.
As far as them being re-molds of the actual keshi themselves, didn't someone mention prior that injection molded stuff shrinks a bit? If so, then these figures will be smaller.

Also I would LOVE to get the figures if they resell them in capsules again! The past number of years have truly been Kinnikuman heaven in Japan hasn't it! I'd even be willing to say it rivals DBZ. It's too bad we can't get anyone to market the old show in the states.

When Bandia rereleased 15 original Ultraman sculpts for the American toy line Canfull of Monsters as a precursor to MUSCLE in 1979, the new figures were all slightly smaller than the originals. As far as them being re-molds of the actual keshi themselves, didn't someone mention prior that injection molded stuff shrinks a bit? Will Amazon Japan ship to the US? I don't believe Amazon UK does, I could be wrong.
If not, you could use CrescentShop, they do shopping in japan in addition to auctions. I haven't used them for shopping but they kick ass for auctions
the slime of all my yesterdays
rots in the hollow of my skull
they will pick up snakes in their hands, and if they drink any deadly thing, it will not harm them

If anyone is wanting to order a set, I can pre-order one for you.
What it will take is a NON-REFUNDABLE deposit of $200. Non-refundable because I really don't want to get stuck with any of box sets that no one pays for. So, if you flake, you lose $200.
I will pre-order the item, and when it arrives in January of 2009, you will then have 90 days to pay the remainder of the cost which will be my actual cost (I will know this when they bill my credit card next December) plus $150.
So, if the box sets arrive and cost me $800 each, then you will have 90 days to pay the $750 ($800 cost - $200 deposit + $150 fee).
All in all, if my cost is $800, then you will get a set for $950.
Let me know if and when you are interested. Not sure how long the pre-order price is good for.

now that is tempting... I would love this set of figures...
and this poster is awesome:
imagine the confusion if when they come out they are in MUSCLE plastic
I'd imagine they will be harder, glossier rubber than the original Kinkeshi, like other re-releases?

They're not. That 28 pack had been on YJP for years. Plus, they are M.U.S.C.L.E.s, color, plastic and all.The Magnificent Eleven as protos for this set...
STOP STOP STOP!!! : What if that were true. Can't wait to see what these figures are like.

I think you have a point on the trade marks as well Soups. Maybe they will have that four dot diamond formation...
