This is so freakin Awesome!!!!!!!

We just finished the M.U.S.C.L.E tourney and we jump right into the Battle Beast tournament.

I never really collected BBs until I became a member of this site.
and now I really love them,Im 10 away from a complete set.That being said.....

My vote went to Pirate Lion.It's not the coolest sculpt but he sure blows away the Crab.
I always felt like the Crab was unfinished.

I always vote first and then read (with this and the MUSCLE tournament). I like to decide myself first and then enjoy reading what everyone else says. Plus that way I feel I wasnt swayed to vote for the popular figure.

Yeah, Eric's custom paint job on that LASER BEAST Crab is awesome. But in my opinion the crab as it is is my Least favorite first series beast. The Bear being a close second. I could see this type of close race if it was Lion vs. Shark or War Weasel or Elephant (all who I MIGHT vote over Lion) but not this sorry ass crab. The ONLY thing that I think is cool about him is his Claw, and I can get my claw fix from the Buffalo.

I do the same thing,I always vote 1st,Then write and read.
The only time I read before I write my thoughts down,is when the figure I voted for is blowing away the competition.....then I can't help myself.

Man o man!
This is a tough one straight from the start!!

Lets count pros and cons here.

Lion:

Pro: He is absolutely a leader figure, he was in fact the leader of my brothers battlebeast army when we were kids,
but he also is the autobot-aliance leader of the 'good' beasts! So 2pts earned here.
His sculpt is cool in that he has a cool pirate eye patch, though neither me nor my brother really saw him as a pirate though,
more of a king really, that and the fact he was numbered #1 made him the leader of my brothers gang. Another 2pts.
Also he has a very cool sword, which not only looks like it could do major damage,
it also looks like the sword of a king (check out Marty's latest version). Again 2 pts.
Also he is the most common (or the only one, not sure about that ) battlebeast with a possible SUNBURST sign,
which defeats all other 3 signs (Wood, water and fire). 1 additional point.
PRO +7pts

Contra: He was the leader of the gang of my brother, so he was the enemy! Minus 1 point.
I love felines, except I don't really like lions, so again Minus 1 point.
He does not have a cool left hand like many other beasts do. Minus 1 point.
He can not see through both his eyes in battle!! Even for a leader a major handicap! Minus 1 point.
-What else can I think off, so Crusty gets more advantage... -
I never really liked his color sheme a lot: Minus 1 point
He seems to be very popular among collectors, which even raises his purchasingprice: Minus 2 points!

So Pirate Lion ends up with no points I'm afraid...

Let's see how Crusty does:

Pro: He was in both mine and my brothers army, but mine had his best friend (triple threat snake) with him,
which boosted his power by a factor 6. +6pts.
He has an incredibly strong claw which looks WAY cool to boot! +2pts.
He has a very tough armor AND skin +2pts.
His weapon looks way cool and is just as strong as his claw! +2pts.
He and Snake got in the funniest situations and were ULTRA PLAYABLE! +2pts.
PRO: an astounding 14 pts!!

Contra: He was ULTRA STUPID and ALWAYS HUNGRY and EASILY MISLED,
especially by his 'friend' (triple threat snake), so this costs him Minus 4 points!
He was very short and couldn't reach anything, Minus 1 point.
I never really liked his color sheme either, Minus 1 point.
My brother had one in his army too and always ended up jealous of my snake,
since that was Crusty's 'real' friend Minus 0 points.
CONTRA: a severe -6pts.

So Crusty ends up with 8pts.

Now I still need to check my records to see how many times in battle did who beat who...

Lion stabbing Crusty in his mouth: 1121 times.
Crusty choking or cutting off Lions head: 42 times.

Per factor 10 an extra point is awarded. So 2 extra points for Lion.

That makes the final score and my decision:
CRUSTY defeats LION with 8 - 2 figures!!

I voted Pirate Lion because in my storyline that I have had going for a while now Pirate Lion would easily beat Crusty Crab, however I will say that I also think that Pirate Lion is over-rated, just not compared the crab. The crab isn't one of my favorite sculpts from series 1. This will be interesting once we hit into the Laser Beasts as well.

How many beasts are we going to include in the tournament guys? I can't wait to see what my personal favorite, Delta Chameleon, does in the tournament.

The custom crab is awesome... the other one isn't. So I went with Pirate Lion mainly because of the eyepatch.

I am gonna call it. Pirate Lion wins by one vote (18-17). That was an amazing matchup. Who knew the crab could go all 12 rounds with the Lion.

Can a MOD close this topic for me (I cant since it is Steve's thread)?

Ill post up a new one sometime later in the day. I might start posting them in the afternoon/night so I dont have to do it at work every morning. We will see how it goes.
