Thank you!Wow I agree Kevin, that is sweet. I dont know what it is (cause I dont collect), but the character and just overall energy of the piece is amazing. I also wanted to comment on your gun piece, that site must be full of a bunch of homos cause when I first say that thing I thought it was effing amazing.
This is the figure my picture is based on.

As for the contests on ConceptArt.org, they have a little clique of members in which the same people win every month, the rest all praise those people and shun newcomers. The half dozen or so contests I entered before tiring of the site, I ended up being the only one that didn't know everyone else, and the only one never deemed good enough to even have my work voted on.

I should have known you'd have a slight adventage because the theme lends itself well to a darker tone which you excell at. But while the theme is dark you did a great job on making the colors and textures not as shadowed as past entries. Two thumbs way up on this one Kevin Mayle.

Good eye on noticing the fingers. I went really subtle with them so it wouldn't look weird.Since I'm not even talented enough to draw bad art I have trouble with perspective but are the fingers on his left hand (the left hand of doom) slightly longer than on his right. If so great attention to detail, if not. Who Cares! This piece rrrrooooooccckkks

Thanks for the compliments. This picture just came out of me with no thought or effort. I just sat down and everything fell into place. Normally I labor over these, making draft after draft, and not really being pleased with the results. Hopefully I can continue this trend of improving myself.

Scumm: that koala rocks (and apparently hops rocks too)!
Tortle: great detail and proportion as always, and the re-animator movies were my original inspiration for this topic, so bonus to you!
Kevin: Superb entry. Can almost see him twitching there (the charachter, not Kevin)!
I'm working on another Guache/india ink painting, with toon versions of about 15 or so 'formers, and 3 surprises.
Is Newoldguy still around? would be great to see his take on this challenge...

Just kidding. I know there's another month. I just wanted to see more pictures.
There are so many possibilities with this FAC's theme.

Sweet! Is that Family guy and Arnold? Or Family guy and that other football head kid.
Thanks guys! It's actually Peter and Stewie:

But I never really realized how much Stewie looked like Arnold before.

Well, here is mine. In person I'm very pleased with the "Battle Beast Animated Heroes" scene. It is on comic book paper with Sharpie. I don't have a color scanner so a picture will have to do for now. Where can I go have it scanned? Kinkos or somewhere like that?

You can definitely get it scanned at Kinko's. You could also try Staples. I think they have scanning services, too.

Walmart and Walgreens have scanners at their photo centers for you to use. But from the looks of your picture, it's larger than 8 1/2 X 11. So you'd have to make a couple scans and piece it together in Photoshop or something. I think the photograph you took is perfectly fine.
