i would gladly buy a set of the kinnkeshi versions of the super rares but i never seem to be able to find any for sale. actually i would love to have them!

as far as the final price of $202... i am a little surprised but i hope this is a continuing trend downwards in price of SR's

i contacted the seller and let him know what was going on and that this account is owned by the same guy who tried to "feedback blackmail" him earlier. i gave him a brief history of "you-know-who's" shenanigans and what he has done in the past with multiple accts and what not. i also let him know that he was banned here and that he may want to contact ebay if anything happens. nothing may come of it but i feel better as a person for letting him know...

update: i am letting you all know what is going on for the sake of transparency and give people an opportunity to act as well.
i rec'd a response back from the seller that goes something like this...

"Thanks, you are the third email I got regaridng Alex, I am dealing with him and contacting ebay. If I need to use as a reference to ebay to cancel these transaction, that ok with you?"

i told him i would consider it. i find it amusing that two other people were also concerned enough to write him as well. i am curious to see what happens when ebay finds out about his acct manipulation.

there is one monkey wrench in the system. apparently the seller (skyboi02) sent a copy of my message to Alex and he wrote me a ironically humorous and somewhat nasty note to me. i was surprised by skyboi02's action of relaying my message as i told him i wrote to him in confidence. oh well. i feel i did what was right and i will live with any consequences from Alex. here is what he wrote to me...

"Please mind your own business regarding my auctions, you have no right to damage my reputation based on what others accuse me of on a toy forum. You buy from me and then act 2-faced like this, unbelievable."

i, of course, am not going to respond to him as that would be playing into his hands and probably wants me to do. he could claim i was harassing him or some fool thing. but i find it ironically funny as that his reputation needs no help from me to be damaged. yes, i did buy a figure from him, the TGB clear drunken master. i honestly bid before i realized who the seller was. i am alright with that now with the thought that i liberated a cool custom from the evil clutches of a maniac collector. LOL.

if it does come to some sort of ebay legal action or whatnot, i am sure that i will have no trouble leading ebay to plenty of information indicating his actions and his multiple accounts. i can only hope that ebay investigates some of his auctions to see if shilling did occur with his multiple accounts (is there really any doubt? seriously). i wish skyboi02 the best of luck and karma is a bee-eye-itch.

I actually feel pretty bad about the whole situation for everyone involved. If the man wants to pay that much for a figure more power to him really its his money to spend. I myself would not trade my BHS from Marty over a minty one but the value of a particular toy does not drive my love of collecting the hunting does. There is not a single person on this board I can point at and say I do not like including the ones I have had a disagreement with. I so happened to have joined the board after most of the happenings that are now legend in the bad user thread but when does it come time to let it go and move on. I love doing business here with my friends and I have also done business with banned members that I did not even know they were banned.

Maybe it is because I have been near death a few times this year but none of what I can remember seems worth dragging along with us as baggage. I do not want to write anyone off until they have done me wrong and I hope for everyone that loves collecting as much as we all seem to do we can find enough room to co exist with others even if they are not your favorite people, That is really just meant to be an opinion not a judgment please do not take that the wrong way anyone.

Personally I appreciate everything this board has done for me big and small from the newest members to the most established. I appreciate the insights, generosity and benefit of experience from so many of you and wish nothing but the best for each and every one of you this coming new year. It would be amazing to see board members caught in old fights put old arguments to rest and move on with collecting toys and enjoying spending time with the friends they have made and value here. It might be a foolish hope or to much medication but getting along helps all of us benefit so I tend to preach to forgive and forget I really think it would be so great for all of us to not maintain negative relationships but to start over with no expectations. Even criminals pay their time and get another chance to start over

Happy new year everyone, I wish all of you an amazing new year!!

Best,
Chris

close this, ebay doesn't give a ish & never will about af's bs. if anyone thinks they ever would, they live in a world i'd love to be a part of where customer service and nice people aren't a rare commodity. af paid for it no one else gave a ish and if anyone wanted it and couldn't bid beacuse of christmas, ish man, things happen for a reason, you'll get the figure someday and be much happier when you do because it will probably have a peg. haha one last time - that ish ain't worth nothing without the peg. if you spend $200 on it and it doesn't have the peg, you will regret it, i effin guarantee it, no one would be fully happy with that figure for $200.

I been trying to keep this to myself but the tread keeps popping up every time.

I dont give a damn about what Alex does. What ever he does is his own buisness. It generous of you letting people know about what going on around ebay. But sometime, you got to keep your mouth shut. The question I got for you is why the hell are you trying to wreck people reputation. This is straight buisness man. You acting like some investigator. You got no part of this auction.

Ok, so temporarily ignoring the fact that it is Alex (once again):

You have someone pulling a shady stunt in regards to our hobby. For some, if it doesn't directly affect them, it doesn't matter. But for those of us who hate seeing our hobby become infiltrated with those who would lie, cheat and steal to get what they want, it is a big deal. It is the business of those in the hobby.
Sadly, it just seems that the bigger this hobby gets, the more dishonest people it attracts. Can you fault someone for wanting to weed out the crooks who are ruining a hobby that they enjoy tremendously?

It just happens to be Alex, but if this were anyone else pulling a stunt, the result would be the same.

If this weren't Alex, I dare say that no one would be voicing their concerns about another dishonest person being exposed in our hobby. Why do people get butt hurt when Alex gets caught in another one of his dishonest practices?

And as far as his rep goes, you can't wreck what he has already destroyed You can only warn others, so that they aren't taken advantage of by him.

I so happened to have joined the board after most of the happenings that are now legend in the bad user thread but when does it come time to let it go and move on.

The answer is incredibly simple, Battlechaser: When arforbes stops using shady tactics to buy toys, we'll stop talking about them. :D

Why do people get butt hurt when Alex gets caught in another one of his dishonest practices?

That is a very good question. I'd like to know the answer myself. Is is simply because arforbes has sold these people toys they want and they hope to get more from him in the future? Damn, I hope that's not the case. :D

I just find it interesting that only newer members seem to be getting upset about this.

If you mean about not being able to win a BHS, I think it's because the rest of us have given up even trying to win a SR via honest bidding on eBay. Arforbes has shown time and time again that he will stop at nothing to own every SR that comes along. ;)

If you mean only newer members are getting upset about someone trying to put a stop to arforbe's obsessive/greedy behavior... uh, yeah, I don't quite get that myself (as said above).

Like Jkaris said, just because some of us may not be interested in MUSCLE SR figures doesn't mean we need to turn a blind eye to arforbes tactics. Right? Or are we somehow in the wrong for noticing his dishonest practices?

Na, just thought it was funny that most of the post in the thread about the problem seem to be from members from the last year or so. I wasn't even keeping up with this thread till Stoney shouted about "Interesting Developments". Usually when this stuff comes up us veterans are dominating the topic, both involving SR figures, and Shenanigans from former VIPs. I think it's a sign of how old it has gotten to some of us. So in 4 years it shouldn't even matter anymore. :D

my only motive is that i am tired of seeing people being victimized, and taken advantage of by this person who is breaking actual rules. if people are uncomfortable with the topic, then by all means close the thread. my intention is not to upset lrg members at all. it's just that people like this just rub me the wrong way and make me want to stand up to them. my reason for posting it here is pass on info to the community that he may be looked into. that is it. the fact that the seller rec'd two other emails was a major factor in me posting anything further as i thought that there was interest.

please please please don't take offense and feel free to delete my posts or the whole thread if you think it threatens the LRG community well being or camaraderie in any way. i will even refrain from posting further about this issue if you think it best. as i said my motivation was to stop further victimization.

I want to clarify this before it's misinterpreted. I'm not suggesting it's wrong to buy/trade things from arforbes. I've bought things from him multiple times in the past. What I do think is wrong is to turn a blind eye to his shady tactics because you have bought things from him.

Uh...Not sure what you mean man. I only used your name to reference how I ended up following the topic. I don't think I in any way insinuated that you new guys were wrong to post what you want, or email who you want about someone. I was just making a general observation about a change or shift in prioritizing particular events from one generation of LRG members to another. I'm not even sure if your responding to what I posted, but either way, don't worry about it. In fact I'd be willing to say my comments are almost directly off topic to anything involved in the conversation, and possibly are more qualified to be deleted or move. ;)

I don't know. Based on arforbe's obsessive behavior over the past 10 years, I can easily visualize him sitting in a wheelchair in some geriatric home 50 years from now browsing eBay for MUSCLE auctions.

And to think that I feel guilty about owning two Satan Cross figures.

Stoneyface, I dont think you were wrong in any of your actions for the record. Like URS said, I am so used to hearing about Alex's shady bs over the last ten years that it almost doesnt even surprise me anymore. I believe there is two reasons he bid as Balucard, one he obviously cant bid as Arf due to previous transactions, and two, to bid the price of that damn thing higher for any of us who wanted it. I am glad he got stuck with it, and I am glad someone didnt get into a bidding war against douche's fake account. Had he won it for like $900 rather than 200 we most likely would see it up on ebay again and another false negative against the seller. We may even see that anyways because after a dozen BHS's why would you pay even 200 for another one. I think like usual, he was trying to screw someone else and not really trying to win this piece.

However I do find it a little insulting that after a simple little statement, banning, and periodical(which is bad on one hand) examples of a crooked seller, that so many people wish to get there 2 cents in on the guy! Not for nothing, but of the thousands of members here in LRGs(even though he was banned), he is in the top group of collectors. So to to tell a buisness partner of his activity is low class. The seller sold his item, and let it be,.... men. If you want to hit him, just don't buy from him. Little Rubber Guys is a strong community, and I am sure he is well aware of how much he has lost already. But to sink down to his level and become just as crooked by constantly harasssing is buisness associates is not only wrong, but also is illegal. So be safe, when you start mentioning collecting, all members need to know that to some it is a buisness, a livelyhood, what puts food on their table. So consider your actions, and remember there maybe consequences.
That said JKaris did a great job outlining his badside with help from members giving their feedback. There is no need to cause grief to him or LRG by trying to effect his transactions. Lets just use that information when deciding wether to buy or not!
Even though I have a nice collection, I in no way consider myself a serious collector. I never get items graded, or buy for their value, or for future investments. I am a man with a mind like a child, I buy the toys that make me happy, and are small enough or classy enough to display around my area without seeming to childish. If ever I did come into a super large amount of money, I would definately buy more super rares if they were made available, however I also would let you guys get first crack at them because a super rare is like having a prize for following the toyline for so long, and finally posessing 1 figure that simply is unavailable to the public. He actually is kinda of good to have around because I think he gets that.

...resonse to those who say a kinnikuman non muscle sculpt is just as fine. I agree.
However for me, a super rare or a non muscle M.U.S.C.L.E. is better for the true M.U.S.C.L.E. Head. It does not have to be from that toyline, but as long as it feels the same, smells the same, and looks the same in all aspects then it does have a quality that is hard to come by(as of 2009;)LOL).

So I figures I throw a blurb in here as I am watching the countdown with 2 sleeping parents, and a sleeping dog!

"Can't we all just get along!"-R.K.

HAPPY NEW YEARS EVERYONE!

P.S. bad title by the way EGAY, stay straight, noone wants another bombardment of those ads that appeared a few years ago, LMFAO!

alls i'm sayin is we can bee-eye-itch about him taking every sr that comes up, that's bs but he really didn't rip anyone off here so warning the seller ain't gonna do anything, he's still gonna take the $200 as would anyone. and realistically, it would take an act of god for a board member to get him banned from ebay and if that day ever came, he would get another account, so it doesn't matter. he ain't goin anywhere, his obsession ain't changin and unless someone went to arizona and robbed him, those f'n srs will be buried with him. i just don't really see any point in getting more worked up about it other than bee-eye-itching on a thread, ya know?

my only motive is that i am tired of seeing people being victimized, and taken advantage of by this person who is breaking actual rules. if people are uncomfortable with the topic, then by all means close the thread. my intention is not to upset lrg members at all. it's just that people like this just rub me the wrong way and make me want to stand up to them. my reason for posting it here is pass on info to the community that he may be looked into. that is it. the fact that the seller rec'd two other emails was a major factor in me posting anything further as i thought that there was interest.

please please please don't take offense and feel free to delete my posts or the whole thread if you think it threatens the LRG community well being or camaraderie in any way. i will even refrain from posting further about this issue if you think it best. as i said my motivation was to stop further victimization.

stoneyface

I was the first bidder on that stupid figure. The fact is I was at work and there was a good chance I would have lost the auction. What pisst me off is Alex snatch it away from me with his other accounts. I wouldnt have sweat it if he would have won with his original account.
