Holy shizznit!!! $422.00

I was watching this until the very end. At two minutes to go it jumped up to around $315, by someone named regero...astonishing! I was almost certain that this regero would win it at that price. Then with a little less than a minute to go our boy Philly Madison took it with a high bid of $422! Haha! Congratulations Phil!!!

That is way above what I thought it would go for. Good lord! Truly amazing!

I guess we can say that Philly finally got head. Haha! And he has 3 super rares now!!! Okay almost 3. Nice score man! Where do you get your allowance? Haha!

Hell yeah! You should definitely consider selling your headless one. You could get some serious cash to pay for your new SHA! If I remember correctly, it wasn't exactly MINT that headless one. Didn't it have some ink stains? No big loss if you do sell, 'cause now you have another, and it's MINT!!!

If I am not mistaken, this is the highest priced M.U.S.C.L.E. in collecting purchase history. The seller of my Blackhole Sunshine figure sold it to me for $300 about a year ago, now a new record has been set with Philly's Spinning Head Ashuraman at $422!

Not only are you the owner of the most Super Rares now Phil, but you also hold the record for highest priced M.U.S.C.L.E. figure!

I checked the bid history again to see and it looks like Philly Sniped at 27 seconds before the end of the auction. If you tried to snipe Spectre, I don't think it went through.

That has happened to me before too because of my connection at that particular moment when I was trying to bid on some auctions in the past. Sometimes it just doesn't work out as I may have planned.

Good god, are you kidding me? Over $400 for a MUSCLE?! I'm usually not one to berate others for their collecting habits, but this is crazy. How can one justify spending that much on a little, itty-bitty piece of PVC?

In the mid-90's I began aquiring collections of 80's toys from college kids, friends and basically anyone I could find!  As my personal collection grew, the doubles and extras started piling up.  In the late 90's I opened a shop at a Flea Market here in Buffalo.

Holy shizznit! BUFFALO!

This adds, at least in my mind, that the figure may not have originated in the US but from abroad. We talked about its possible Canadian roots here.

In my mind this certainly adds weight to the figure not being released in the US. Buffalo is right across from Canada. It could easily have been bought at a Super Market, Toy Store, etc. and been brought across the border.

I think he will probably still want a custom head, for his headless Spinning Head Ashuraman if he chooses to keep it. That would be cool to have one SHA with a custom head, I think. It would complete the figure for him, and definitely add to the value of it if he chose to sell it one day.

I say get the custom head still Phil.

first I would like to say that I didn't really spend $422

bizman paid for a little less then half by himself

muscle sales have been great for me as of late
so I had muscles paying for muscles really for a good 3 months now this was no diffrent

though I did get a little caught up in the moment with bidding
but I don't think really a lot of ya understand about the super rare craze (except Alex)
when ya get one ya want the other 2 may not be for all super rare collectors but its true for me and Alex (you know Alex would have done the same for a DM fig)
and I never asked to own a super rare it was a lucky bolt of lightening how I got DM and once the super rare poison entered I turned into Alex! lol body slamm'in cars, bidding high on super rares , selling my self for sex on ebay to pay for super rares and trying to get all the colored muscles

so ya see opportunity knocked and i bid

I guess i should sell him but I'm not 100% sure i will
so pm me with offers if anyone would like to purchase it
if i do sell it and the head is found ill let ya know and have it sent to ya direct
and I've been talking to Godbeast about making me a head 20 mins after I won it

Oh here's some bitter irony if the mail is on schedule this week and if erokx mailed it today like he said he would I should be getting this SHA the same day I got DM just a year ago weird huh?

That prety much sums up how I feel about Super Rares Phil. You have the disease too?

And I probably would have done the same for DM, you're right. But only for Super Rares I don't have. So, for instance, I would not try to win a BHS or a SHA if another popped up. I just like to test the bids every once in a while, like I did on this one in the beginning and near the end, because I knew I was going to get outbid.

But the others that I have, I seriously want a bunch of my fellow M.U.S.C.L.E. heads to have a chance at getting. Once you get one, you will see that they are 100% M.U.S.C.L.E., no doubt. You may even contract the disease that Phil and I now have. I think all Super Rares carry the disease and pass it on to their owners.

I would however try to win a DM or another undiscovered Super Rare if one popped up.

I'm glad you won that SHA. Technically, you did not have one in the first place, since it was incomplete. Now you can get a custom head for it and sell that sucker to make back some of your dough.

me and bizman just finished up a nice sale a few days after the auction started
so im the sole owner

so with that order, some other muscle sales and lastly if it went any higher I could sell the headless one I had this down to a science

I might seem crazy, lonely or whatever but trust me I had the whole thing planned out 30 mins after the auction started from the time I would bid to who would bid to my max bid ( i didnt just pick any # at random) to every kind of scenario that would take place I even figured who would say what after I won

I studyed these forms, ebay and my sales this was more of a project then me just winning a stupid piece of plastic

I had an awsome time doing it
to the road to getting it was just as great as getting it and it being a 10 day auction made it even more fun

and like ya said Alex technically my SHA wasnt complete and I needed the head but I know I have something I could sell to make some of the money back if need be (an advantage of sorts)
