two things,
stark and mr. @$$**** by doing this are in violation of ebay TOS. if either of them bid on it or is the mysterious winning bidder, even more in violation.

i am curious if anyone (other than us) has contacted ebay about the two winning bids by the same buyer? just curious.

i know i have secret fantasy of driving to arizona and robbing him blind of all his muscles just as a karma payback. my original fantasy involved taking all of his super-rares and melting them into one big lump of semi-molten muscle mayhem on a desk or counter. my love of muscles made this thought horrifying to imagine me ever going thru with it :o

Hey Stoneyface don't worry nothing escapes the laws of karma, either negative or postive. as far as ebay busting these guys for the ring is going to be a slim chance. these guys have aged accounts with over 100 plus positive feedback so ebay won't even look at them. Furthermore all of is taking place in the toys n hobbies category which is not high risk so ebay won't even flinch. Unless they where selling high risk items.

All i can say really is just don't care about them or what they do because at the end of the day all karma debts must be payed equally. As far as this auction goes yes there are a lot to say about it but nothing much we can do...unless you ..............................get what i mean?

I tend to believe that Stark is legit and that Alex is saying that it is his auction to scare away potential competition, so that he can buy another SR cheap. If gollum were really having a friend sell a SR for him, I don't think he would openly admit to it. He has never fessed up to any of his schemes so readily before.

WOW, congrats to the winner and I totally understand the collectible nature of toys, especially something that as of now is only one of what, 2 or 3 of this guy that has been discovered, but DAMN, assuming this ended legitimately, that's a month's mortgage right there on one figure *whew*

Jeez Louise. I just sold four Cinnamon GPK figures for $200+ a piece, but this is a whole different level of insanity for a piece of plastic.

$1580 is more than £1,000 at current rates. If I ever spent that much on a toy I think my next purchase would be a wooden box, cos my ass is getting killed! :good:

Congrats to the lucky winner ;)

That's a lot of money. I would spend that much on a high end Laser Beast piece. Congratulations Vette88.

All that matters is that you have a SR & I'm sure everybody wishes they had one. :good:

Yeah that's about half of what i made for selling basically my entire toy collection. Which took up a whole room. I will never enter the "Super Rare" playing field, but i certainly envy those who do. Congratulations. :good:

Jkaris, check your PM

Shill bidding at its worst

I disagree. The "pinhead" bids started in the last 32 seconds. Mine at 7 seconds left, and the guy who bid $1555.55 was right on the last second. See Jkaris' post.

Besides putting it in my case, does anybody have any ideas of how to properly take care of it? My figures aren't in direct sun light.

Any advice would be appreciated.
-------------------------------------------------------

I have a good feeling about this figure. Person's email to me last night that I just opened:

Dear vettes1988,

Wow! Thanks so much fo your high bid! I am floored! Do you have any special shipping instructions for this one? I was going to do insurance and delivery tracking for you, but if you want to do something more secure, just let me know. I'll have it packed up and ready to go as soon as the e-check clears. Thanks again. My daughters' college funds just got a litle bigger.

That's a big value right there. I know some collectors have their own bank box for their extremely valuable pieces. Which is cool, but what's the point of having something if your not gonna see it all the time. :good: Plus when you want to look at it you have to go to the bloody bank! ;)

I agree. This figure is defintely staying in my house for that very reason. Why put something in a safe deposite box if you're not going to enjoy it? I didn't buy this figure for the resale value. I bought to enjoy. There is a story behind the Super Rare figures, and who knows if it will ever be completely found out. It's part of the very interesting history aspect of the M.U.S.C.L.E. toy line.

I'm just catching up on everything that happened but thats awesome vette!

I am constantly thinking of ways to display muscles and if I had a super rare I think I would keep it next to my muscle collection, but in a separate frame or display box so that it will stand out and not just "blend in" with the others. You gotta show that baby off!

Whatever you do be sure to show it off here with some sweet pics in your collection thread or something. Congrats again!

Don't have much experience with AF but it's pretty lousy thing to do, and even worse because it seems to have brought the LRG community into strife with an innocent seller.

I can't see the drama being worth it in most cases, I'd rather get some TGB or Alteriormotive customs which I'd know I'd enjoy >-<

However, I think it's great that a community member managed to prevail here. Congrats Vette, I know you will be one to appreciate what you've got. I'm actually quite curious as well about that boot figure (7th in 3rd row). Lemmie know if you don't end up wanting it

congrats bud. i am glad you won and that a legit member won a legit super rare. i will sleep easier knowing that with vette being the owner, the entire community will get to enjoy this figure thru various pics and whatnot. i am very pleased! YAY for vette!!! i can't wait to see pics.

....now having said that. i would point out that the mysterious z**y was the one who bid it up from ~$400 to over $1000, yes it was in the last minute but think of this, he didn't win it. he might have been bidding simply to get the price very high just to establish yet another high value sale of super-rares for some scheme by gollum. it doesn't matter in the end because walker13.1 is the winner! i would like to point out that this is one more piece of evidence(albeit circumstantial) that z**y is a known shill bidder for gollum. eventually enough rope will be given to hang themselves  i do believe in karma and something will happen to balance the scales eventually. >-<
