Someone spoils it for him, likely trying to get it for themselves.
A couple people offer the seller ridiculous amounts of money to hopefully spoil it for the person who spoiled it for SG.

I can only see 3 reasons for emailing the seller after the fact.
1. The original spoiler was trying to get it for themselves.
2. They were doing it to be a dick and ruin it for SG.
3. They were being altruistic and letting the seller know that he could have gotten more.

I really wish you would have gotten it SG. Sorry to hear that this happened to you.

It's like people are actively trying to make MUSCLE collecting the worst hobby in the world. Each time a story comes up like this I think, "Well, it can't get any worse than this."

And every-damn-time it's worse.

The MUSCLE community is so small this kind of thing shouldn't happen. We need to do some things to start turning the tide.

Like bee-eye-itch slap and ban these whiny bastards that ruin it for everybody? The horrible thing is half the time the person "informing" the seller about what they have is not even planning to purchase the item themselves. They get some weird satisfaction that they have done the right thing. When in fact it is none of their damn business. It is a sellers responsibilty to research what they are selling and its potential value. If they fail to do so it is their own fault. It allows a collector to get a great deal instead of forking out tons of dough. I am not sure why some collectors are against getting a great deal.

Yup, if people have a problem with American Pickers or Pawn Stars, well that is their own fault. If you don't know what you have, then why do you have it/why keep it? It's the seller's fault if they find he/she got taken for afterwards. The person should have known during the transaction.

Dude, thats not a bad price for that lot as long as the SC is in great condition and the sword and hand are still attached. The average going price for a SC is 40-50 bucks and as much as 60. So whoever got this lot got the SC for 55 and the other 32 figs for 15. Not bad....Be patient as you will get one soon, but there are alot of people who want one at the moment.

It's just a newb influx. Seems to happen every summer. Patience is the key, scored my 2 SC figs on the cheap....Interestingly enough... I don't remember how I got the second one. My first was a BIN with like 40+ figures for $40 bucks.

My two cents, it was a combo of # 2 and 3. Someone that already has one in their collection, paid a load for it, and could not stand the fact that someone like SG got in on a truely amazing find.
