So where did you get the Purple Claw? Did you know it was there, was it by chance? Theoretically, according to your opinion, you should have informed the seller of it's value and offered it back to him so he could get the true value out of it.

Ignorance is bliss. I've sold items cheap before just to learn a year or so later it was valuable. I simply wished I hadn't learned it. I've said it before, If you pay a guy who knows nothing about toys a buck for a figure at the fleamarket that's worth $100 or more, and you know it, are you cheating him? He wanted a buck, he got a buck. You got a rare figure you wanted for a great deal. If you wanted it, and didn't have the money to offer him it's value, told him it's value, you would be kicking yourself for giving up your opportunity.

It's not like he tried to steal the figure, he offered a solid value for the SR, and received a favorable response. who is breaking the rules? The buyer for offering, or the seller for accepting? Don't think for a second that if I was auctioning something, and someone offered me an acceptable buyout I would give a shazbot about the other people bidding on the item. It's only different once money and product have exchanged hands.

I sold a board game at the fleamarket to a guy for $3 bucks. I knew it's value, I checked before selling it. An older gentlemen bought it. Then about 2 hours later this little guy came by and started small talking about comics. Then out of nowhere he asks me if I by any chance had a copy the board game I sold earlier. (First time he came by my table) I said I sold one earlier, why do you ask? Without giving me time to respond, he says, "Man that game goes for like $40+ bucks!" and immediately walked off. I knew he had talked to the guy who bought it, I knew the guy who bought it was a dealer. But this guy did that on purpose just to annoy me, and I could have chased him down and strangled him for being such a blatant @$$. Didn't give a crap about the game, but the guys intentions were enough to still bug me years later. Especially since the game wasn't worth that in the condition I sold it, which was the reason I sold it so cheap at the fleamarket in the first place.

No offense intended, but whenever you guys come up and complain about buyouts, or you say you email the seller to tell them he got ripped off, it comes off as bitter to some people. You didn't get your chance to bid, or chance to fairly win, so you cause more problems. If any of you guys were looking for these rare figures, found one on ebay that nobody else had seen, and won it for a dollar, you would be hoping and praying that someone else looking for them didn't see the auction and email the seller that they got ripped off and the rainbow colored turn launcher in the middle picture is worth 5 grand!!! And I'm pretty sure most of you wouldn't tell the seller yourself if you wanted it.

URS, I spoke with Alex over the phone yesterday. I apologized, I meant it, and that is the end of that.

If anybody thinks that I'm the only one who did this, you're wrong.

Holy Crap, there were already bids of $1500!!! Holy Crap. :(

They way I see it is I have 3 options to get an SR

1- Flea market or garage sale
2- BIN before anyone else
3- Offer a seller on ebay money to take it down early

While I don't agree with the third, I will do it every time because I know someone else will. That precedent was set a long time ago and if you read through the forum, you will see that. You can ish on it all you want but if you can't beat em, join em! ;)

Dear vettes1988,

Hello, we will post the large image of the figure by this afternoon. The figure itself is hard plastic and the cane is somewhat more flexible. The back is stamped with letters Y/S N T and assume its some kind of copyright. Thank you

Dear peewee1984,

Can you post close up pictures of the Druken Master? It's the figure with the cane and weird eyes. Does this figure feel of hard rubber or soft, more flexible rubber?

Sorry Vette, contacting the seller was a totally douchey thing to do. I don't care if it was Alex who bought the thing, maybe there's some karma there coming back to bite him in the arse, but it was still wrong. You would be plenty pissed if someone did that to you. I know the ultimate decision to honour the contract or not resides with the seller, but most sellers will stiff a buyer if they think they can get more money elsewhere.

Yup, apologized, and I'm trying to make things right.

I'd have to agree with this.

If it were anyone else, I would feel bad about the situation. But since it is Alex and he is a scamming douchebag, all I can do is sit back and laugh. ;)
That little attention whore hadn't been getting any airtime on the board lately, so he had to go and rename his balucard account to mimic my eBay name. I really wonder what he was planning on doing with it.

Reminds me of the time he stayed up all night long spamming the board with those gollum pictures. There is a posting delay (60 seconds, I believe) so he was up posting once a minute for like 6 hours straight. What a effing pathetic whack job. ^_^

Anyways, like I said, any other collector, I would feel bad, but it's Alex and he is a dirt bag.

Oh I'm 100% sure you weren't the only one. I don't have a problem with it if that's what you want to do. I just don't like hearing about it. Just sounds bad when someone comes out and says "I told the seller he got ripped off after the auction had ended". Not to mention it sounds like someone lost their job over a M.U.S.C.L.E, that's just pretty shabby. I couldn't give a 2 cents about Alex's personal feelings either, but regardless of who it was, it was a cruddy move by any person.

The seller will get the opportunity to make more money now though. And a wider opportunity for other collectors to get their hands on a rare piece is now open.

As stated before, that was not my intention. And as already stated too, I'm in the process of making things right with him. More to follow on what gets worked out. I started collecting after Alex got banned from LRG. I have only good experiences with him, and would like to keep it that way. I spent about 30 minutes on the phone yesterday, much of that apologizing.

About the person who apparently got fired (if that is really the truth), then the person shouldn't have done that. As with any job, do something wrong = bad things happen to you.

Also URS, do you have access to the staff lounge? What is being said there? Have you said anything to the other people who PMed the seller? I know for a fact that two other people did. I don't know who, but I know two did.

I have read that the guy that did sell the lot was the sellers brother so im guessing thats highly unlikely that he was sacked, if what I read was fact? But hey water under the bridge I say, whats done is done.

A couple things.

If URS did have Staff Lounge access, he wouldn't be able to discuss anything said in there.
Also, just to be open, this auction is only being discussed in this thread and int he shoutbox. And probably via PMs as well.

That is a horriable thing to say about one of my favorite figures : ) But to each their own.

In the past I have bought and sold many, many toys and will again. On eBay I do not always get the best deal or make the most money but a deal is a deal, sometimes you do amazing and other ehh buying or selling. Were I the seller I would have honored the deal and been sad that I didnt know I was selling something so valuable for so little. I am glad I am not the seller.

Best,
Chris

Ok, so just to clarify some things, because Alex is the lying, dishonest, narcissistic ego-maniac that he is...

The following quotes (from CTL) are total BULL.

Johnny (jkaris from L*R*G) immediately contacted the seller after he saw that the auction he bid on was cancelled, informed the seller that the figure was worth much more than what I paid, and also brought up numerous instances of me being a fraudulent and shady buyer/seller for no specific reason than to sabotage the deal I had just completed with the seller. Obviously others contacted the seller too, to tell him of what he had, but Johnny, as always did this merely out of his dislike towards me and intentionally ruined the deal I had going with this seller before they had a chance to ship the lot I won.

I asked the seller Saturday night if he had a BIN price for the lot, to which he replied, no. So I put in a minimum bid, with a calendar reminder to snipe at the end.

Dear peewee1984,
Do you have a buy it now price for this lot?
- littlerubberguys

Dear littlerubberguys,
Hello, since we have bids on them we are going to let the auctions run their course.
Thank you and good luck!
- peewee1984

Nothing was mentioned about Alex. And even if I had, which I didn't, the seller, who has blocked Alex from bidding on his auctions, sure as hell wouldn't have told him. But that is moot, because I didn't.

So I, wanting to win back what was rightfully mine at that point, bid with my alternate ebay username, which is allowed by ebay. I have confirmed this with ebay numerous times. Multiple usernames are allowed as long as all information is correct and accurate. A few hours later, my bids with this username were also cancelled, thanks to Jon Karis (jkaris) of L*R*G forums. He contacted the seller once again to have him purposefully ban my secondary user account.

Yes, I did contact the seller and let him know that the old balucard account that Alex had renamed to mimic me, was Alex incognito.
Here is exactly what I sent him:

Hi!
Just thought you might want to know that the 2nd bidder (littlerubberguys*) is one of Alex’s (arforbes) shill accounts. Littlerubberguys is mine, and he changed the name on one of his shill accounts to the same, plus the asterisk.
BTW, I am glad you relisted.
-Johnny

Anyone interested in the history of Alex using the Balucard account can just do a board search, it is documented. But you MIGHT want to start here:
http://www.littlerub...amp;hl=balucard

Jon Karis has nothing beeter to do than to sabotage deals on ebay, harrass members who are not even part of his board, and spread false and malicious lies for his own gain. He has done this in the past with the L*R*G board auction for Doc Moore's Robinmask where he took the board offline for a minute before midnight just so Doc Moore would win the auction and keep the Super Rare that was for auction on that board away from me for the purpose of satisfying a buddy of his who was part of this deiceitful plan between the two fo them.

Really? I harass members who are not even part of this board? Can you name one? The only thing I do is to point out blatant scams by known scammers. <--- Link ;)
I have never once lied about Alex. On the other hand, Alex has been caught in more lies than a politician in an election season.
The LRG Board Auction for the Robin Mask SR?
http://www.littlerub...?showtopic=9782
Do you really believe that? HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
Oh my god, dude, you are a effing nutter. really, you are.
To be honest, I actually told Jason that I hoped he DIDN'T win, because I would hate to see him spend that much for a figure.
Do you really think I was trying to keep you from getting the figure? After I had already sold and traded you a few already? Alex, you are looney.
If I wanted to sell it to Jason, or anyone besides you, I would have done just that. I am not the one who lies, cheats and uses subterfuge to handle my business. No, you self-absorbed douchebag, that is YOU. And you can lie all you want, but your scams and dishonesty are WELL DOCUMENTED on this board.

I am informing everyone of this so that they are aware of the situation going on. I am encouraging people to be cautious with this seller as the final price of this auction is now going to be much higher that it should have been because of a greedy seller, and a malicious L*R*G board leader (jkaris). Don't play there game here, its not worth it. The figure was up at nearly $1500 last night before my bid was cancelled and another members bid who retracted it themselves because of the true facts they uncovered about this auction. It is simply not worth it to pay this much, reward a shady seller, and satisfy the ego of a man who thinks he rules the world when it comes to these toys and his message board.

I am not the one with the ego problem, Alex, it is you. I don't pretend to rule the world or the hobby, and I don't constantly flaunt myself to get someone to stroke my ego. That is you.

In the end Alex, you are a effing loser with no real friends. We invited you into our group, offered you friendship, and all you did was lie, backstab and scam to get the toys you wanted. A chunk of plastic is worth far more to you than is friendship. You have proven that TIME and TIME again.

Yes, Alex Forbes, you are a lonely, pathetic little loser boy who couldn't be honest, or admit fault/guilt if your life depended on it.

I think the biggest point of this situation is being missed: There is another DM out there!

eff politics and semantics.
eff who wins it, eff who is selling it, eff how much it sells for. Another SR discovered just means that they are out there.

These little rubber bastards and the mysteries that surround them will always amuse me and fill my heart with joy, far more joy than any bitterness that could possibly be created by any other human being.
