I do get where you're coming from, Czarcher. I generally feel the same way. In the case of the GPKs, to me the major thing is that the material of these repros is very different from that of the genuine article, and they're not being produced or sold with the intention of tricking anyone. I realize that people can't tell what the material is when looking at an eBay auction, and it sucks when sellers try to mislead by leaving out details hoping people will assume something is an original. That's why it's important for someone who is thinking of buying/bidding on what they believe to be a rare item to get as many details about the item from the seller as possible in advance. Assuming is dangerous.
Anyway, probably a discussion for a different thread; I just wanted to show off these things and say how awesome they are. I don't own any original S2 Cheap Toys, but I'm pretty sure I'd like these repros more because of the rubbery material.
I just need to fill in some rare Greek colors, the Spanish version with yellow eyes, and a green SD. Then I'll be The Carp Guru for real!
