I would really like to put a serious bid down for this, but I'm not going to put a big bid down on an auction with professor shill wandering around. Even if it's not his auction, he'd still shill it just for fun. The way he disrupts collecting the high end stuff in this line completely shuts off any desire to get the big stuff.

This pretty much sums up how I feel.

He looks like the hard muscle plastic to me. I see the color and the shine on it, and if it wasn't legit, jon wouldn't be bidding. Looks to be in excellent condition too.

That seems to be the question on everyone's mind. I'm going to say no. If ebay thinks it should be private, I guess I do too. Is there some jerk I should be watching for who will stiff me or something?

Is it because it is someone bidding on Alex's Dark Emperor for Alex?

Alex stated on another site that you were selling his Dark Emperor for him.

The current high bidder is the same bidder who "supposedly" paid $5000 for a Mysterious Partner Super rare, which was 1 of a kind, and which Alex never would part with. He is also the one who bid $1000+ on Alex's Purple Claw, but amazingly put in no bid on Veer's claw. I would put money that this bidder is one of Alex's buddies who put in the bid for him so that he could either shill up the price and offer a second chance offer to gunsmoke.50.

Attached File  alex153final_named.png   68.36K   42 downloads

Attached File  veers153final_named.png   54.69K   28 downloads

So, we know that the high bidder on Alex's Claw, who is also the person who "supposedly" bought the $5000 Mysterious Partner Super Rare, and is the current high bidder on Alex's Dark Emperor which he admittedly is having a friend (stark_enterprises63) sell for him. Which is kind of funny, because the ad states "These auctions are from my personal collection of 70’s and 80’s memorabilia. ". So it looks like Alex is up to his normal deceptive, dishonest crap. Not surprising.

What we don't know is if nicolasusa is a real bidder or one of Alex's shill accounts (I think shill, based on his behind the scenes activities here on the LRG). Looks like gunsmoke.50 is just a collector willing to pay through the nose for a purple claw (as was walker13.1).

Regardless, I am retracting my bid on the DE super rare.

For those of you who are new and do not understand the animosity that us older members have for Alex, here is a prime example of the type of cancer he is to our group.

My thoughts exactly Phillinley... sad but true, this is exactly why I have stopped collecting m.u.s.c.l.e.s. There is simply no way to get a quality super rare (or hell, even a rare) mu.s.c.l.e collection even started. You will ALWAYS either be outbid, or reserves will be set ridiculously high, or the auction you are bidding on will simply vanish and end early with your bid being cancelled. How is that fun or a hobby for anybody? The desire or thrill of collecting any rare or super rare m.u.s.c.l.e.s, for me, is simply gone. But I am VERY cool with that, and so is my wallet

I can't believe you guys found me out! The conspiracy has been revealed. Me and 3 or 4 of the collecters you all hate got together and figured out a way to drive you all crazy and steal all your money at the same time. Everything was going according to plan, but now its all ruined. So, thats one theory. Or, maybe I'm just a guy with a basement full of crap. Hmmmmm.......

<Edited.... I'm in no position to judge or make comments about sellers I don't know. But, IMO this auction deserves a big asterisk next to it. Maybe not because of the seller but at least because of the highest bidder.>

This whole situation makes me sick!!!

Actually, no one thought you were in cahoots with him (Alex/arforbes), until he posted and said that it was his figure and that you were selling it for him.

That being so, and knowing that it is one of his buddies who was the high bidder, bidding for him, is there any way you'll tell the name of this eBay account?

Wow, why does anything even remotely cool in the muscle world end up being tainted by that effing pinhead? I should have known, seriously by now, anything SR related will be tainted. I am with djniku on this one. I havent purchased anything muscles for years now, even getting rid of a bunch of my stuff, its just not fun anymore when anything cool comes up its either bought out from under your feet, shill bid to an amount that you ultimately question yourself later for paying for, or some sort of scam altogether. Muscle collecting wont be fun again until that idiot gets hit by a bus. I'm hoping sooner than later.

I don't need to be fully functioning to know this is utter bull shizznit. Your comments stark reflect much of the sentiment felt towards collecting in a negative way. It has cost us trust, enjoyment and made us pick sides on many levels which benefits no one all for greed. Enjoy your profit, O wait its not even yours. Ass

Best,

Well, it's not realistic to think that just because Alex is no part of the community that he would stop trying to buy muscles. We all know he has a SR fetish, and even when he was part of the group he always made it a point to win or obtain every SR figure that he had a chance at. To think that would change now is ludicrous.

So all I can say guys, is don't let him ruin your hobby. Let him buy all the SR figures. Don't even bid on them, cause you know he is gonna win, and that just inflates the prices more. Just let him get em all, and then he will have tons of SR figures that aren't worth Shizznit, cause he won't be able to sell them.

Has anyone bought any of his SR figures he has tried auctioning off over the past 2 years? Possibly one of the lesser quality conditioned ones he has sold, but I can't recall him selling any of the mint ones.

I know it's hard to deal with this crap, but there are so many other aspects of the hobby that are interesting that he can't affect. For those of you who had older siblings or bullies at school, don't you recall how your parents would tell you to just ignore or avoid them? Cause when you let them make you cry then they got just what they wanted from you. Alex is the same way, you don't think he doesn't get sick kicks out of reading about how the guys he hates aren't enjoying the hobby anymore because of him? That's just what he's aiming for, and we are letting him win.

So when a SR auction pops up, and it goes for an insane price, or is getting shilled, or whatever, and we know who's behind it, why bother pointing it out anymore. Let the Baby Thousand-aire keep his cruddy plastic toys all to himself, alone, where he knows he won't have any real friends to share them with.

Well, that's what I think anyway...maybe that made sense, I don't know. :D

Keep collecting fun for yourself. Doesn't matter if it's a SR or just a regular figure. If it isn't fun, then it isn't worth buying.
