Aside from the obvious shadiness my favorite part is the title: "PURPAL CLAW"

 

I wonder if that was an attempt to avoid claiming false advertising. "I didn't say it was a PURPLE claw!"

 

or seller could just be legitimately pinheaded

What are the silver/gray spots all over the figure--primer? The ejector-pin marks look way too deep, and nothing about the trademark looks right. I can think of far better uses for $75...that figure isn't worth 1/1000 of the asking price.

#1. Yeah, there were repros out there, with an intentionally modified copyright marking.

#2. I still giggle at Bill's response in one of those old Fake Puple Claw threads.... Haha, "If the seller says it's real, it's real." Because, you know, nobody would ever lie about that to spare themselves embarrassment of spending $500 on something stupid (which is real irony, by the way), OR because they wanted to have the "status" of owning a purple Claw. No sir, nobody would ever lie about that.

So that's three purple Claws from the same seller in less than a year's time. At the very least, this should make potential buyers extremely suspicious. If I had that kind of money to spend on one figure, and I didn't trust the seller any farther than I can throw them, I wouldn't even consider parting with my money without an in-person inspection.
