These was made in 1997 but im sure they came out either 1998 or 1999 though. They came in 2 packs, and 4 packs they was also packs that came with 3d plastic painted backgrounds scenes that had 2 figures and a carry case for the line. The scene sets or carry case was not needed to collect every figure. These msy of been a UK only toyline but im not sure of that.

The first four figures came only in 2 packs they seem to be very rare too. The first four figures also came with 4 childrens story book these seem more common but they do not have the trading card with them. Another 4 figures was only available in the 2 packs these 4 figures came with a figure that was available in the 4 packs I only got 4 spares by collecting the entire series.

I have spares of all have their correct trading card
Number 7 1 spare
Number 9 1 spare
Number 20 1 spare
Number 22 1 spare

The cards have series 1 on the top of them sadly we never got a second series.

I also really like this toyline, I don't have any of the trading cards, but I've got all the figures apart from number 4, and also the Thingz happen Junction carry case. Do you have any pictures of the plastic backgrounds available with some of the figures? I would love to see them.

I've got two of those plastic background things, the Junction thingy, all of the figures besides the Thing Under the Bed, and most of the cards. Never got around to getting that haunted house playset though, and I saw a few in shops which came with story books...

I loved that stuff when I was a wee lad!

I think I have all of them...apart from the Fluff bunny and the Thing in the Closet.

But I have lost all the cards, its been a long 12 years

I've never gotten to see the real figures myself, now I want some even more!

If I could have just one, it'd be the mothball thing. Not the coolest looking of the figures, but I adore the concept. I also love the Bed Bug, Hanger, Trouser, Warm thing, Sweater and Shoes.

I'd trade you something for the spare hanger!

I was just wondering (I can't see the pics where I am) ... How many figures make up the complete collection? How many accessories?
Thanx in advance!

28 figures, a carry case, four plastic diorama-type things, and a haunted house. And four books. All fun!

I'm still looking to own at least one thing, if anyone has duplicates. I'd be happy with 6, 8, 12, 16, 19, 20, 25, 26 or 28!

Just got the Thing That Ate My Toothpaste from a charity shop a couple of days ago (they didn't want to charge me anything for it, so I put 50p into their collection box thing)...

Meaning I'm now only ONE THING AWAY from a full set! If anyone has The Moth Ball Thing going spare, I'd be very much interested

I'm impressed that you found a charity store round here selling LRGs!

I actually got one of these in a mixed lot a while ago, and this thread has ID'd him for me as The Thing That Ate My Breakfast.

I don't collect these though, so if I see the mothball guy I'll let you know

Cheers, Mr. Dog B)

It was in one of the more "upmarket" charity shops in Formby, the town full of Tories who do their food shopping at Waitrose. Scumbags, yes, but the charity shops are good :D
