I went to a market today and found a box of some pretty beat up dinosaurs - in there were a lot of the smaller UKRD guys with horribly damaged paint, and quite a few pretty nifty older dinosaurs with more horrible paint. I would have bought the whole box, but the guy wanted $25 for it and they were all in utterly foul condition. I declined, and instead bought this one rather immaculate fellow which I love.

He was pretty dusty when I got him, and whilst I was playing with him on the way home (chasing pidgeons mostly ) I noticed he had a bit of a rattle. Turns out some kid had decided to feed him a tasty meal of leaves and the dried remains of his meal were still in his belly.
He looks to me like the imperial 'stegotyrannus' on this page, but I think he has a different number of plates on his back, and he seems a little smaller.
Pics of the pentaceratops coming!

those are TERRIBLE.
They remind me of this small set of dinosaurs I got, they reminded me of my little pony because of the colours and blocky limbs, so I used to call them 'pony dinosaurs' - they're in my box of ponies, I just didn't take a picture of them because of how horrible they were. Bowties and bonnets, blech.
Some of those toys they make for girls are almost like pouring battery acid into your eyes. Even today some of those things are just... WRONG.
Thanks for posting them though

Those Dinosaurs look cute and colorful, yet they look like they could be role playing game. You can display them with Gormiti or Monster In My Pocket and mix the two together for a Dino Baby VS MIMP Warthe least scary looking dinos ever...

In a search for some mini metal dinosaurs I was sure I had brought with me when I moved I found that dimetrodon!

So are there any metal parts in the JP dimetrodon? Can I just scrub him in water and it won't do any damage, or should I be careful/leave him dirty? How about the other guys? I figure that the dilophosaurus is a NO to water type of toy, what with the sound thing that doesn't work. But how about the dimetrodon and velociraptor?
These are the metal guys;

And I thought I'd show you those foul dinosaurs I mentioned earlier

I also got this puzzle from a supermarket. They still stock them! woohoo!

And then there's this bootleg puzzle. The paint is bad, but what can you expect from a bootleg? The material it's made from is almost exactly the same as the real thing though.

These guys are from HorrorClix - the only dinosaur though.

And rather than do my FAC entry I drew a dramatic portrait of this guy;

I think these are tootsie toy moulds, but these were more modern in make.

Some dinosaur books from when I was a kid - I had another one about dinosaurs in the garden and in the pool and whatever causing havoc for some poor kid, who knows what happened to that one though.

And here's a pencil with some dinosaurs on it. And a ceramic plesiosaur in an egg.

How's that for a whole lot of dinosaur?

Yeah, I have to get one of those puzzles now and try it out. Even the insane and oddly patriotic colors on the bootleg are looking very appealing.

First up are these Disney 'skelechanger' dinosaurs - supposedly you put them in hot water and the skeleton inside becomes visible. I think mine are broken because when I put them in water they just become a lighter shade of pink and the skeleton is equally obscured. I tried the freezer too, that makes the colours darker.

Then we have this awesome pterodactyl which I liked, even if he has got bat wings instead of real pterodactyl wings. Did you know there's a pterodactilid bigger than a giraffe? A monsterous beast that HUGE flying around... can you imagine it?

A couple of rust monsters, because I don't have any otherwise. Which version came first? The smaller extra lumpy one, or the bigger smoother one? I assume the little lumpy fellow.
market8.jpg 167.79K 14 downloads
Then there's this nifty 'velociraptor' with funny feet and an unusual pose for the tail. His feet really are weird. I picked him up and go 'huh? how on earth is this meant to stand?' turns out he uses the tips of his claws to form a tripod. Weird.

And a little collection of little fellas - one safari, I liked the pink sauropod, one 'jaru', that cool little orange fellow, a mimp dinosaur I already had, and a little orange velociraptor.... with a button?! What's with that?
market10.jpg 180.24K 12 downloads
Have a good look at Mr. Button. Or does he prefer 'Mr. Press-Stud' do you think?

Would that be the Quetzalcoatlus that was bigger than a giraffe? They have a cast of one of them in my nearest museum, it would've been an amazing, albeit terrifying sight to see.

In all my years of reading and whatnot, I've never heard of that one. Must be a recent discovery perhaps?
Still, I'd love one for a pet. It'd reach through my bedroom window at night looking for worms or cats or something. I'd have to satiate it with my duvet and pillows until morning, when we would fly to some fields and catch us some sheep, maybe a cow or two.

Awesome. They look like freaky monsters and they apparently had all kinds of bizarre habits - how could anyone not like them?

EXTREME DINOSAURS!
What more can I say?
Whoa, I've never seen that little one before. Where did that come from?
