I'd like to know what they are as well. I see them on eBay all the time. They do seem to come from Mexico and South America. I don't recall ever seeing them in packaging. I can't say whether they belong to a legit toy line or are some kind of bootleg. If they are bootlegs, I don't know what genuine toy line they would be booted from.

I've always thought they were original sculpts, but as I say, I don't recall ever seeing packaging.

I've been browsing the MIMP forum, but haven't found a topic addressing these yet. I feel like there should be one though. I'll keep looking.

This topic may be addressing said figures. Hard to tell because there are no pictures.

http://www.littlerub...showtopic=25072

Apparently this Cromy outfit made MIMP bootlegs and new, unique sculpts (or booted them from an unidentified toy line). In other words, there are Cromy figures that are the same sculpts as real MEG MIMPS, and Cromy figures that are not MEG MIMP sculpts, but they are apparently still referred to as "MIMP."

At least that's my understanding.

There is a photograph in this thread:

Those appear to be same Cromy figures packaged in a Monster in my pocket baggie

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Those are pretty nice figures. I really like the Red figure in the top left of the 2nd picture. He looks 100 times better Red instead of Yellow.

And is that other Red figure in the top row of the 2nd picture a turtle?

Darryl - That link won't work...
Orgg thingy - What's BEB?

Everyone in general - I'm really hoping I can sort out my PayPal stuff, cuz I'd love to get ahold of this lot. Some of them may piss all over the original sculpts, not all of them though. Seems they have their own version of Jimmy Squarefoot though :)

Alright, so they ARE Monster in my Pocket then - all the more reason to get them, I s'pose.
Should've guessed Bad Eggz Bunch really, although I'd've said BEGGZ if I was doing shorthand.

Club exclusives only in Argentina maybe? I still find it hard to believe that new things are still being discovered with these old toylines these days. It's simply amazing how vast some of these seemingly innocent and minuscule lines really are.

I don't know enough about the intricacies of MIMP, but these rare, new finds always make me nervous. Any obscure toyline with fervent collectors makes a wonderful place for counterfeits and fakes.

That's why these new finds always seem a bit suspect to me.

These aren't new, I've seen them around eBay for a long time, but their status as MIMPs remains consistently in question because they're unique and not based on MEG designs. It's more or less assumed that they were released by Cromy as MIMPs. This is one of the cases where Brojo's posts on the matter, in that thread Soupie mentioned, are actually helpful.
