Whats your worst delivery experience?

I've had some bad ones over the years, the worst being an xbox one being thrown over a six foot wall and in heavy rain. Driver didn't even leave a card through the letterbox. That was from a notoriously bad delivery company in the UK called Yodel.
I shudder everytime I buy something from ebay as GSP tends to use Yodel alot

This isn't so much a tale on my worst experience, as much as some (hopefully) helpful advice. Find out which companies you do business with, that use "Yodel" and simply tell them if they don't switch shippers, you'll boycott them, and tell everybody you know to do likewise. If things with them are as bad as you say, there shouldn't be a shortage of dissatisfied customers, probably including plenty of people in your personal circles. That might "encourage" them to shape up on their business practices.

I've had 16 packages lost by USPS since I moved 3 years ago (3 of which were never found). It's to the point where I won't send anything to my house or PO box because every other delivery requires at least an hour at the post office to recover the package or it is just gone forever. It's not just one PO either as my local office has the best ratings in the city and all of them say the same things.

That's just unacceptable...Typical of a .GOV agency though.

Its usually Ebays Global Shipping Program that uses them the most for me personally, The company was voted Worst parcel company in the UK for the last three years running and features very heavily on the BBC's investigation program Watchdog, Think because there backed by ebay theres little chance of a blanket boycott

My experience with USPS has been excellent so far, The speed of the delivery to the UK is great and usually has tracking. Sixteen packages is a crazy amount though, is your home more rural or any reason it would cause lost post?
I have never had anything shipped to me be stolen or lost, worst case would be a day or two late.
Fingers crossed I've never had any go missing yet either, I don't mind late post to an extent its just crazy the things that happen when the parcel arrives

Only issues I've ever had were having a figure stolen from an old apartment complex, and one statue arriving broken. The statue didn't bother me too much since it has since been modified into a completely different character - but getting any reimbursement with undeniable proof that it was broken while in transit due to being mishandled never went anywhere.
Haven't had a single issue since moving to the new-ish home.

Nope I live in a big city. But the mail here is atrocious beyond measure. I don't know why.

Ordered a best weighted vest by USPS for Christmas. They delayed it over and over and over and over. I contacted them twice and amazon 6 times. Still don't have it. I ordered them on Dec 19 and it's the 17 on Jan. I had to get refund and I have re-order it

There's only been one instance where a package has been supposedly lost, although I think the reality was that someone took advantage of me using international shipping without tracking to claim as such. Otherwise my experiences with USPS have been solid.
Most recently I had a package to be sent from FedEx inexplicably stuck in "delivery exception" for two or three weeks before being returned to the online store. HasbroToyShop and PO boxes do not mix, just FYI.

Yeah, Cheers Amazon.
Had this yesterday, thankfully my eldest was walking around the corner as the delivery man was jumping back into his van.
A - We've NEVER designated a safe place
B - Its a bloody bin, hardly hygienic and pretty thankful we don't order food from there
C - Where would a claim stand if it was bin collection day?
This is the result of a company paying by the number of parcels delivered and not using a regular delivery company but cash in hand drivers
