So most of you LOVE m.u.s.c.l.e.s and we have some very talented artist on this site, so why is it we don't have any custom He-Man m.u.s.c.l.e.s?

I've been fooling around with a couple ideas for m.u.s.c.l.e inspired customs and MOTU keeps comming back, seems like not only a pretty easy project, but even the old 80's cartoon seems to have an almost limitless amount of 2nd tier figures that could be made, you could easily have a line with upwards of 50 figures without even getting into the really obscure characters.

Now I say this would be easy and I mean easier than having to sculpt an entire new fig like the original m.u.s.c.l.e.s did. most MOTU figures bodies were for the most part exactly the same as each other, so you could make a base core body and use a cast of it to create most of the figures by adding just the defining features.

If I get the time I'm going to start working on this idea.

I would love to see a proven artist undertake this kind of project as I'm a very untalented sculpter.

Thanks

I did see these awhile back and there great, but the super sized heads turned me off, I'd rather see something more in scale with m.u.s.c.l.e.s without the big head mode enabled =)

there are real He-man keshi too, but they are pretty rare and pull big money. I'd love to cast some up, but i dont know how many are floating around here.

Yeah I've seen a couple of these before. these are awesome and I think this community could make some very much in this style, if not even better. I'm sure there would be a big demand for them.

Thanks for the great pics.

Wow Eric! Where did you get those pics? Are they yours? That looks quite like the lot that got away when I first started collecting and had no idea how rare these guys were.

I wish they were mine, I saved them when they popped up years ago. I was in the same boat, had no idea they were that rare.

I just can't believe how little information is available on these. They have Mattel imprinted across their back as well as the 'B.' that some of the later release Kinnikuman figures have which means there was some pretty heavy weight behind them to be this obscure :wallbash:

Props on at least saving the pics though, those are beauties! I wish I had realized at the time that 6000Y ($40) each (this was back when the Yen was worthless to the dollar compared to where it is today) would have been a bargain given they may never show up again!

I prefer the slightly bigger heads myself but those are some of the coolest keshi figures i've ever seen.

Here's another pic i saved from a post here awhile back.

Yep, those are mine :) I made sure I didn't make the same mistake twice and jumped on these the second time I saw them come up. I wish there had been more of them in the lot as I've never seen them again since :(

Nice. You should take some better pics and maybe stand them next to some muscle guys for reference. I would enjoy seeing more for sure.
