Posting in Got Toys - Spell out the details.....

If you are listing something for sale in the Got Toys section, then you need to be clear about what it is you are selling (list it out) and what your starting price is.
If you want to haggle out deals via PM, that is fine, but make sure you have an initial price listed.
This will make sure that deals are being transacted fairly and that fears of new collectors being price-jacked behind the scenes are assuaged.
Not allowed:
"I have a bunch of M.U.S.C.L.E.s for sale, PM me for details"
"I have a Class A #153 for Sale, PM me with offers"
"Here is a really old picture of battle beasts and laser beast spares, PM me for prices and availability"
Allowed:
"I have these pictured M.U.S.C.L.E.s for sale, they are $1 each. PM me for details. If you buy a bunch we can work out a better price"
"I have a Class A #153 for Sale, I'm asking $750, but you can also PM me with offers"
"Here is a list of my current battle beasts and laser beast spares. Figure A is $5, figure B is $35, etc. etc. PM me if you are interested and we'll work out the details."
"Here is a link to figures I have available for sale in my Flickr account. Prices are listed on the pictures.
In short, make sure you list what you have for sale and how much your starting price is for them. Pictures are not required, but I doubt you'll get much interest without them.
This has always been the rule, but there really isn't anyone actively policing every thread in the Got Toys section so not everyone has followed it faithfully. A new member brought it up in an older members thread and I got involved. Thus the reminder/clarification.
BTW, once the Classifieds plug-in is fixed, this will be a moot point because you will be using the Classifieds section instead.

I'm guilty of this at times, but I'll try to be sure to include prices in any future listings!

I love you.
There is nothing I like less than someone asking me as the buyer to offer a price.

I will change my listings to reflect the new-old policy. I agree with the posts above that it is annoying to make an offer as a buyer, especially when you have no idea what something is worth. Then the seller gets insulted if you make a low price or skins you if you make a high one. Not all sellers are like that, but enough are that it gets annoying.

This should be pinned, so it can be easily seen by new collectors.
