I received an email last week from Dov over at DKE toys asking if I would be interested in retailing a new line called B.U.N.N.Y.W.I.T.H. (Based Upon Nearly Nothing, You Will Indulge in These Hares), based on Alex Pardee's work http://www.eyesuckink.com
Being that I'm not really set up to retail anything these days, other than the intermittent exclusive (like O.M.F.G.

He asked then if I would be willing to do a review on them and help spread the word if he sent me a few samples. Of course I said yes (since we are the number one site when it comes to pvc mini-figure collectors). I could definitely do a review and if he had the sites where they would be sold at, I would include those as well to help generate some extra awareness about these.
So a week goes by and instead of a few figures to sample, he sends me a whole box AND a full set of the gold chase figures (which are limited to one per box).

SCORE!!!! Thank you Dov!!!!
So here goes my review:
The first thing I noticed was the box art. Very Looney Tunes-ish. The blue is reminiscent of the old MUSCLE 10 pack boxes. Great artwork. I have to say my favorite of the lot is the one that pays homage to the Jaws posters of the 70's. (to this day I still refuse to go swimming in the ocean

Upon opening the box, I was pleasantly surprised to see the colors.
There is the mini-figure standard "flesh" color.

Next up is a very eye-popping red:

Then there is white (you absolutely have to have a white color when making rabbit toys):

Being that this is a rabbit and rabbits go hand in hand with Easter, there are two other colors in easter pastels:
Light green:

and light purple:

He also sent a full set of the GOLD chase figures:

These things come one per box and have been selling on eBay for $25 each. Wow!
The figures are made of a very sturdy, semi-glossy PVC and have a decent amount of heft to them.
On to the characters themselves.
First character is Bunnywith ...um... Nothing. Or as I like to call him, Bunnywith no arms. This is the original Bunnywith character.
Next is Bunnywith Siamese Twin. My first thought when I saw this guy was NKE2.0. Easily the largest of the set, he looks like he was around when Chernobyl went off. That or he's been eating too much GM food.

Bunnywith Mesmerizing Eye could definitely use a few bottles of Visine. Same as Bunnywith Nothing, but only after staying up on the computer all night searching for bunnies with..out communicable diseases to party with. If you have an oculous fetish, then this is the figure for you! If Optikk (of MOTU fame) went to the pet store to find a bunny for his little eyeball offspring, Bunnywith Mezmerizing Eye would be who he brought home.
If you are a fan of gore, then this next version, Bunnywith No Legs, is the one for you. Why? Think Bunnywith Criss Angel after a Table Saw Trick on a Bad Night.

Slice and Dice!

And last but definitely not least is Bunnywith Hammmerhead. This one i pretty dam sweet! I think it is my favorite of the lot. Dr. Moreau ain't got nothing on Alex Pardee!
To give you a better idead of size and coloring, here are few pics snapped with an assortment of other LRG type figures.

These figures are very kewl and for the price (MSRP is listed at $2 each) they are very cheap.
For now, you can get these on eBay but I do believe they will soon be available at October Toys and other retailers. I will post those links as soon as Dov gets back to me with them.

If you are in the Sacramento Area, you will also be able to pick some up at Toyfusion and A-1 Comics (Roseville location). I'll be dropping by some freebies for them to sell this week. Hopefully they do well and pick up the line officially from DKE Toys! (Thanks again Dov!)
