These sets were absolute favorite toys from childhood and I've wanted more information on them for years.

Here's absolutely everything I can remember about these toys:

In the photos above, you're seeing two separate sets.  However, when I first saw these toys, it was in one large set.  Instead of the four main structures connected by two angled tunnels, it was three main structures connected by one "T" intersection tunnel.  If memory serves, it was basically something like this:

994212_10153017433465228_968358776_n.jpg

This product was on the shelves in Belgium at a supermarket called GB around 1997/1998.  The aliens in the set are obvious knock-offs of the creatures from the Alien movies, which my friends and I were huge fans of, so we would drool over this set on the shelves.  I never got the chance to get this product before moving back to America.  I figured it was only available in Europe and assumed I'd never see it again.  But then in 1998/1999, I saw the two smaller versions in a KB Toys store and purchased them.

A lot of the pieces are interchangeable, all connecting to the main structures and vehicles with pegs of the same size, allowing kids to mix and match weapons & accessories as they please.  Here are the sets with most of the pieces removed:

942083_10153017434365228_1059201412_n.jp

The aliens and humans each came in two variants.  The humans either had open helmets and a handgun or closed helmets with a two-handed weapon.  The aliens were either facing forward or looking downward and off to the side.

1013493_10153017435305228_611726512_n.jp

On the bottom of the main structures, it reads: "Blue Box Toys" and "Made in China".  That's the only information I have to go on.  I'd love to see the box art again for nostalgia's sake, or at the very least, geek out with others who had these things.

I love how many zero effs the guy with the pistol gives. He's just standing around waving his pistol in the air. It's magnificent.

Looks fantastic, and I'd've loved this back in the day (well, still would today!).

BUT... I must've had it at some point, because I've still got a couple of those aliens knocking about here somewhere. Yet I have no memory of ever owning anything else there. Which is a bit odd.

Where they ever sold seperately, perhaps?

I feel like they MIGHT have come in little packs... like how they used to sell packs of Micro Machine figures and/or vehicles.  I can't recall exactly though.

-and yeah, I even though the pistol figure looked a little goofy as a kid.  He's just too badass to face the direction he's shooting.

I had this playset I bought it from a UK catalog book called Studio who do alot of Christmas stuff years ago. I do not know its name but im sure the company made other similar toys including a haunted house with mini figures also parts of the vehicles look simlar to Multi Mac.

These look awesome, not sure if I like the lolly gaggin guard or the alien better. But I wouldn't mind a army of each

Man... my interest in little sets like these started with Mighty Max, so I would LOVE to see a haunted house set from this company.

Though not a house, they did dabble in the supernatural.

Nice pics and cool playset. There doesn't seem to be many lines that come out with cool playsets anymore. Playmobil's new Future Planet sets looks pretty sweet though.

Thinking about it and looking at it, I'm sure I've got a pirate ship set from the same folk that made this. I'll dig it out sometime this week, hopefully, and get some pictures up.

Holy crap, MEMORIES!  I had that castle too!  ...But mine didn't have the awesome haunted theme.  It was just knights.  I can't believe I forgot about that.  I had so much fun with that stupid thing.

I remember a pirate ship from the same company that did the castle too, but I don't think I ever got that.  I completely forgot the ship and castle were from the same company that did this space set.

Yeah I think I stumbled on the thing when I looked for a "haunted playset" to display my Mimps. I was a little bummed to see the scale or figures were so tiny.   It's still a cool set, I will take some better pics this weekend.
