Packaging: same ol' tear-off blister with the exact same card as all the other Romandoh Kinnikuman figures
Where Can I Buy It?: jkaris!
Price Range: $40
Sculpt (4 out of 5):
The sculpt on this figure is very similar to the Terryman figure, especially in size/stature, but the muscles are actually better looking in my opinion. They aren’t as over the top as Terryman… although I have seen other Kinnikuman figures with the same over the top muscles.
There are some rough seams, which takes off a bit of my score, and I don’t like the smiley face he has. I would have preferred to see a more serious face, or actually the classic oooo mouth that so many of Kinnikuman’s little kinkeshi had.
This figure is also nice and solid. It is well balanced and stands up easily
Paint (4 out of 5)
I like on these figures when there is some contrast in the sheen of the paint scheme. This figure has very matte skin and a semi-gloss on the areas like boots, trunks, etc.
His skin tone seems accurate for the character, and I like the colors used on his outfit
There is also a nice airbrushed look that is common on these figures, highlighting muscle tone, facial features, etc.
Articulation (3 out of 5):
This figure has the normal Romandoh articulation; biceps, elbows, shoulders, head, hips, knees, ankles. I like his articulation better than Akuma Shogun’s for instance because he has no armor or large parts that hinder the movements. You’re only hindered by the construction itself (like the design of the hip joints that keeps them from bending to 90 degrees)
Accessories (N/A):
No accessories
I really would have liked to at least see some extra heads or something with this figure.
Coolness (3 out of 5):
I’m a Kinnikuman fan so he gets cool points for that. He doesn’t look particularly menacing or anything like that… or even all that cool come to think of it. Pretty average overall. Terryman is definitely a cooler figure to me.
Value (2.5 out of 5):
A little pricey for it’s average size. It is about on par with the solid Romandoh figures however.
Overall (3.25 out of 5):
I’m scoring him a little lower than Terryman mainly because (1) Terryman has cool gold hair and (2) I just like the Terryman character better so I am biased haha.
Good points – Nice paint job; it’s Kinnikuman!, it’s solid; cool alternate outfit from the normal trunks
Negative points –. Small for the price, goofy smile, no accessories, extra heads, etc.
Money might be better spent on a Kinnikuman figure with a more traditional outfit. He is worth it if you just have to have the alternate outfit, have to collect many Kinnikuman, or like in my case it was the only Kinnikuman figure you could find at the time when your OCD wouldn’t let you NOT buy one!
