If there is no bleeding of the colors, I will try again at a higher temperature.

I think this is a great experiment!
My only question would be, why the two weeks? Why not check it more frequently?

I guess you are right, but if it doesn't stain I will leave it the whole time. I just wanted to make sure they had enough time, but I will check after a few days.

No need to change it up if you don't feel the need, I was honestly just curious if there was some prior knowledge/experience or something to that effect!

It was a rough guess on how long the figures I had together that were stained were touching. I can't remember the actual time since it was almost 20 years ago. Somewhere between 2 weeks and a month.

Contrary to popular belief, that is not how you make reproduction figures. They are having jotuns of fun on top of my Behemoth shelf...

True but I have it on good authority that fading a purple MIMP immediately makes it a $500 custom.

Lol Pretty sure I have seen that Ebay listing. I've got a faded purple redcap that is way different than standard purple. Who wants to pony up some cash?
I should try this outside in Az with some doubles. OFC they might just melt together out here. Maybe in the shade of the porch.

Probably end up with Mush in your Pocket if you leave them in the sun...
You could try Ebay for the Red Cap. List it for $250 and undercut the other guy

After the first day there was no fade. Will check again on Tuesday.

Think you'll have a longer wait than that. I store all my original colours together and all my neons together, have done for several years, and the only discoloration is what was already on the figures when I got them.
Of course, in the first instance, I've never been convinced by the claim that one colour is causing discoloration of the other.

Wow this is an awesome idea. I know I had a red Mimp stain a GLOW kaiju figure I had. They were in contact with each other on a shelf for about 6 months or so. And the room wasn't terribly cold or hot.

So how are you suggesting it happens then?
I don't subscribe to any theory. Ain't nothing wrong with admitting you don't know when the evidence is inconclusive.
I do have olive green Bad Eggz Bunch figures which show the same reddish/yellowish discoloration you get on olive green MIMP.

Like bigburty, I have never seen a MIMP figure come directly out of its packaging stained. To me, it's not a matter of if one MIMP can be stained by another MIMP, it's a matter of exactly how long it takes and what conditions make it most likely to happen. I really think that heat plays a major part.
For years I had a bunch of MIMP in all colors that I had got new as a kid (so, unstained) stored together in a tub. While most remained unstained, a few of the neon yellows got slight red/pink staining while in that tub. There would never have been an extended period of time where it was particularly hot in the place they were being stored, so maybe that's what helped keep the staining at a minimum.
This kind of staining isn't limited to MIMP, either—I have other types of rubber/soft plastic mini figures that have got these pink stains. One line I haven't seen it happen with is MUSCLE.
