Again, I think this is a tough choice.

SC is a very cool figure - four arms, a sword, a shield, a good pose, and nice detail. But does his appeal stem from his place in MUSCLE lore? He’s humanoid with an extra set of arms, which really isn’t too original. And his armor gives a basic gladiator/warrior look to his body.

#212 feels like the opposite of SC. He strikes me as a concept figure…but a very cool one. In terms of originality I’m hard pressed to think of anything as original. It’s like the Parthenon sprouted a head and limbs. Sure there are blenders and urinals in the MUSCLE line, but nothing like this – it has a nobility to it. If there is one downside to the figure, it’s his head. While it fits with the figure it is the spot that could have infused a lot of character. But isn’t the figure already dripping with character?

In terms of being a plaything, I think they are both pretty cool.

I may not spend $30 or $40 to buy him, I’ve got to go with #212. It’s just too original.

As much as I like Satan Cross, I actually voted for 212. It's a great sculpt and a cool concept. I'm also a big dork for ancient Roman/Greek stuff, so it's a lock for me to vote for 212.

I have nothing bad to say about Satan Cross, though. It has another great sculpt and with its weapons, it's a cool take on the multi-armed guys. Also, being the only confirmed non-poster MUSCLE gives him prestige. But despite that, he's just not as awesome as 212.

This one actually had me considering my choice. I ended up going with SC, just because his pose is better. Parthenon's drawback is that his arms are to the side. Can't win a fight with your arms down, so there goes a large chunk of playability.
Now if it was THIS Parthenon:

then it would have been NO CONTEST!

I really can't see SC making it past round 2 though.

Wow I'm surprised at Parthenon's percentage! I've never been a huge fan of SC anyways :D

I went with Senior Cabbage! Why? Cause he is just cool! Na, I actually don't like Parthenon as much cause I always have extras of him. I'm tired of always getting Salmon and Red Parthenons in my muscle lots. So it's SC all the way!

212 for me. I really like both. I agree with the arms down thing but we can still win a fight by just charging into them, knkcoing them down, and smashing them. Satan Cross is one of my favorites but somethin' about 212

I dunno.

Cool a close one. I went with SC, I am basing all my votes strictly on figure favorites and nothing to do with the manga. I agree with Johnny that Parth pose sucks and he cant do anything except fall down. SC can slice and dice, then shield bash them for good measure.

Slice and dice and shield bash? Been playing some WoW lately? =P

I'm also basing my votes on the figures. Especially since I don't read the manga =P

I picked Satan Cross. This guy reminds me of Goro from Mortal Kombat. How kewl is that! Plus he has a shield and sword. The other one just dosn't come close.

Now I am off to make a 4 armed BB! :D

I went with Satan Cross, because I like figures with faces in their stomachs. I don't expect SC to last to late into the tournament.
To run with the NCAA analogy he seems like Duke always ranked at least one or two spots were they should be.

The Parthenon... i didnt know that was #212's name but that just increased his coolness factor in my opinion.

Judging solely upon their sculpts my eyes tended to gravitate to #212 more often than not. The sculpt exudes POWER and stability ( as pillars should i suppose) where as SC fell short in that area. In fact looking at both sculpts side by side..it makes me wonder if SC is popular solely because he is (was) rare?

I can see Parthenon laying a tremendously one sided smack down on SC as well.

Love both these sculpts,#212 reminds me of something that would come out of Greek Mythology and that I really like.
But I voted for SC love his helmet and the whole Gladiator thing..
Now if #212 was done with some crumbling and cracks to show some age it would be a different story.

I saw this new contest earlier when I posted the Star Wars keshi auction... I'm glad I thought it over before voting.

#212 is definitely a cool figure. Very "meaty" and solid. They didn't skimp on the plastic. It is also a very cool concept and well executed. However, in the end, it's a forgettable sculpt.

Satan Cross, #236, on the other hand, is actually very unique. He's not just your run of the mill multi-armed sculpt. If you study the sculpt -- even without reading the manga -- you can see that the lower set of arms actually belong to the head peaking out of Satan Cross' chest! That is freaking cool! Also, I've always thought the swirls on his chest plate were cool looking, as well as the design on his shield. And the "demon" wings on his back have always been a mysterious, cool touch. Can he use them to fly? Are they some type of blade? Are they part of his costume or part of his body?

Finally, don't forget that the SC sculpt also has a hole in his back! It doesn't really add to the look of the sculpt, but it is just one other detail that makes it a memorable sculpt.

I voted for Satan Cross!

This was actually really tough for me. In the end though, i'm pretty much a sucker for anything with more than the usual count of arms. So Satan Cross it is!

I voted 212, because he has this mystical ancient stone power about him.
While his adversary just seems like an evil wannabe superpower of which there are 13 in a dozen...

Go 212!

Cross, hands down. I'm supprised there's even this much argument!

I mean, IT'S THE TOPPER of a person's COLLECTION. If you've got the whole set, this is the guy you've got to get.

Granted, in the anime, he's not too spectacular, but as a MUSCLE... well, he dominates.

I'd be supprised if he doesn't actually WIN!

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

It seems like this one has slowed down. So if you haven’t voted, you better do it now. I’ll end this game and start the next one as soon as I get a chance.

I have to admit I’m bummed too, I thought this was the 16 seed that stood a chance to go far.
