Considering selling my Kinnikuman collection

I am kicking around selling the bulk of my Kinnikuman kinkeshi collection. I figure I can always start from scratch and collect again, since for me, that was where the biggest enjoyment came from.
Knowing that I have every standard sculpt (parts 1-30 and the 1991 series (1, 2 and 3), and quite a few duplicate sculpts in other colors, this is going to be a very pricey set (several thousand $$$).
If there is anyone seriously interested in the set, please post here or PM me. If I do get some interest, I will post pics of them all and get a rough valuation. If not, I won't waste your time or mine.

Yep. But it can be done again. And for me, that was a large part of the fun!why sell the 1991 series, didn't you have the hardest time completing that set?

Part 91-3 - This was the hardest part to complete. The RobinMask Unicorn figure cost me about $125. I would have preferred him in blue, but yellow was what I got. Flesh would have cost 3-4 times that, OUCH! He was (what I thought) my last piece to the entire Kinnikuman set. I held out trying to get him for less than $100. I got impatient and I finally bit the bullet and bought him. Then I found out I was missing a couple others

Estimated selling price for this part: $1150
Part 91-2 - A couple of these were very pricey and hard to find. Mr. VTR and Mixer Taite to be more precise. Most of these figures were re-issued in the 3 packs you saw above with some others. However, there is no way to tell which is original and which is a re-issue, because the plastic, coloring and markings are all identical. The only ones that were definitely re-issues, were the crystal blue chase figures.

Estimated selling price for this part: $385
Part 91-1 - Pretty easy to get, except for flesh.

Estimated selling price for this part: $300
Part 30 - These figures cost on average (for colors, not flesh) $65-$100 each. There was a bunch of them floating around for about 2-3 months, so I got a killer deal on these. I think I scored the entire part on YJP for about $300.

Estimated selling price for this part: $600
Part 29 Re-Issues - Bottom 2 rows are re-issues. Top two rows are originals. Re-issues came in a snazzy blue box (see below) and are made of the same glossy rubber as the Part 91 series. I remember when the first 2 piece Satan Cross re-issue hit eBay, he sold for over $100. Crazy stuff!

Estimated selling price for this part (re-issues): $500
Part 29 Originals - Here are better pics of the originals. It looks like I am missing 1, Geronimo. I completely forgot that I didn't have all the originals from P29. Probably because they cost so damn much and the re-issues were just as good (to me, anyways)

Estimated selling price for this part (originals): $800
Part 28 - Awesome sculpts! Neat bit of info: All super rare MUSCLEs found prior to my discovery of the Magnificent 11, were from part 21 and lower. With the Mag 11, there were super rares found up to part 28. Buffaloman, Prism Man and the Mysterious Partner. Prism Man was my favorite of them all.

Estimated selling price for this part: $1200
So there are Parts 28 through 91-3.
If I get any further interest, I'll start taking pics of the parts 27 and down (non-M.U.S.C.L.E. sculpts), as well as all my odds and ends.
Pricing? Well, looking at just these parts, you should get a rough idea. These (and part 27, not pictured) are the priciest parts. From 26 down, they get cheaper, not withstanding the flesh ones, which are usually 2-3 times what the colored ones go for. Part 21 for some reason has a much higher value than everything up to part 26. Odd.
BTW, just to re-iterate, if I do sell (meaning some is willing to pay top dollar) it would be the entire set of parts 1-30 and the 91 series. Not separately.

Part 27 - I was able to get these guys relatively quickly. I think the peg leg guy and SpecialMan were the last I had to get from this part. What surprised me the most about these guys that they cost more than Part 28. About double when I got them on YJP.

Estimated selling price for this part: $875
Scrap Sandayu - Like the Ramen Man spin off series, these weren't part of the regular run, but their own off shoot. Matterof fact, these characters bridged the gap between G1 and G2 (Nisei). For those of you who are big G2 fans, you will recognize Sai-Borg (bottom row, 2nd from left), better known as Jagg-ed to the Ultimate Muscle crowd! The weird thing about these figures is that the colored versions are very scarce and command twice what the flesh ones do. Talk about role reversal.

Of note, if anyone is interested in TGB customs of these, see this thread: http://www.littlerub...showtopic=28232

Estimated selling price for this part: $500

Estimated selling price for this part: $1940
Part 25 - What sets this series apart is how many different figures are in it. 19 different figures in this part. 5 regular sized figures, 5 super deformed (SD) and 9 minis. Ashuraman's mom isone of the kewler sculpts, but Cementos and the Queen tend to remind me of Moses and an Egyptian Goddess,

Estimated selling price for this part: $1850
Part 24 - One of my favorite parts as well. The two piece Satan Cross kicks ass. As does the Brocken Jr., Robin Mask and two versions of Neptune Man. We get 3 nifty SD figures, which are the prelude to the 5 in part 25.

Estimated selling price for this part: $1360
Part 23 - To be honest, other than the 2 piece King 100 Ton, I really don't care for the figures in this part. I guess that is why I don't have a ton of each sculpt.

Estimated selling price for this part: $190
Part 22 - The thing that sets this setapart from the others is that most of the figures were produced in flesh and it is the colors that are harder to come by. Some kewl sculpts, but nothing awesome, i.m.o.

Estimated selling price for this part: $120
Part 21 - BHS, SHA, SC? What more could a man want in keshi!!!

Estimated selling price for this part: $770
Ramen Man Spin-Off - These figures are not actually part of the Kinnikuman line, but rather a spin off series that Ramen Man had. Cartoon and all. This is where the "X-2 Futuristic Goalie" figure came from.

Estimated selling price for this part: $470
I'll post more, as I get the chance.

I will get more pics in a couple weeks. We are moving locations this weekend at the office. so I am on day 1 of a 12 day stretch.
Wonderful pictures!
Although I have to say the estimate for Pt 30 seems low to me. $600 It only works out to around $45 a figure... and I think you'd be hard pressed to find any of them for that price, especially being in that nice of condition. Heck, getting the final Kinnikuman or Coin sculpt for under $100 is a chore.

As stated before, I am not willing to piece it out. But I will sell the entire collection at once for $10,000.00.
BTW, if anyone decides to go for it, you will need to come pay for it and pick it up in person. No paypal. You can inspect them in person, handle the bank transfer (or credit card transfer) and take them back home in-hand.

personally, when I complete something, it's done. I'm toying with the notion of working up a complete flesh set of the US M.U.S.C.L.E.'s but have never once consdiered adding any more than a few of the foreign ones.
plus, I have a TON of other collections I'm working on as well.
still, I have no doubt that you'll be able to do this all again, and if that's what makes the hobby fun for you, I say best of luck!
