@KRS - I have spare green and peach colored figures right now. If you're ok with a short wait I can cast other colors.

@halfbad - um, you're going to be casting the figure you made with the spare head from my cupcake figure? Not sure how I feel about that...

Jon, no, I am NOT casting that one up. I was responding to the thread and thinking about another Monster in My Pocket mashup that I did, I am sorry. I do alot of correspondence every day about the subject, I crossed lines. I will edit the post.

I want to reiterate I would never recast another artists work and call it my own. Thanks.

lol All joking aside it was my own fault. My own MIMP kitbashes are on my mind, and I got my wires crossed. I was answering an email to a customer I do customs with, and had the reply window open as well.

I would never do that to someone elses work.

Now I am all anxious lol.

NO need to be anxious - it's all cleared up.

And, l.designs - my figure being on the MUSCLE platform aside - I've been 'developing' my Kapuke-ki Kaiju figure (in various resin forms, paintings, screen prints, etc.) for over 3 years now, and only recently have been getting response - In the LRG community and well beyond. I am all for anyone who has a character putting that character out there on any platform, but I'm sure you can understand (as halfbad has made it clear that he does) the effort that any designer (good ones, bad ones - all of us) puts into coming up with a character. However, I fully support any customs (paint/resculpt) that happens on any toy I cast - that's part of the fun. Now, if I went ahead and recast the original MUSCLE scuplt and said "oooo, lookie what I came up with - brand new retro style!" - that would be above and beyond bootleg, and would not be cool. Sound reasonable?

Halfbad that 2nd figure is gorgeous. Its DAMN original in this seas of HASBRO/Mattel mainstream product. Back stories and additional art would be lovely. Seriously...that figure has the spirit of uniqueness.

I'm curious - is there a backstory to why you chose a cupcake to work with? Apologies if you've already mentioned it and I've just missed it entirely.

Funny because this idea of someone bootlegging a piece that one of us had created was brought up to me the other day & it got me to thinking... then this came up. Yeah after many many years of creating everything from wargamming terrain, lightsabers, custom figures, to now casting I kinda know how much time/effort/whatever goes into this stuff.
Sorry if it seemed like I was marginalizing what you have done to get to this stage, the whole thing just struck me funny. I like what you have going here & hope to one day be able to work with you on something... well if I didn't piss you off toooooo much so far.

Thank you very much, I can only take 3/4 credit for it, some of it is Jon's work. I don't have any background for it, though I suppose I could come up with some. =)

I am currently working on developing a bunch of unique MIMP sculpts, and will be releasing them slowly throughout late winter and spring. You will see a post up about it as I go.

Thank you again for the compliment.

heard it! Try a bit harder - I moved away to Seattle after all - I obviously have very little emotional attachment to NJ.

Let's get this thread back on track though! New Casts will be posted next week! I'm also working on a limited run of 5 pieces that will be painted and come with a matching 6 color screen print! Bright colors all araound!

Did anyone want one of the skull guys? The ones with the GITD skulls in the head?
