For me, there’s no comparison here. Figure #193 is just plain awesome. It’s a well executed snake/worm-man figure. It stands up quite nice, it has an awesome sculpt, a great pose, and great detail. I think there are two things that really make this a strong figure: (1) the hands; and (2) the tail.

The decision for a three fingered hand is the perfect choice. It gives #193 the monster look without trying too hard. And the tail sculpt is just perfect. Instead of it trailing away from the figure to counterbalance it, it wraps around to create the base of the figure. Seeing the tip of the tail again adds to the strong monster look without trying too hard. This figure has a wonderful attention to detail.

#129 is just another six-arm guy.

#193 is my winner.

This one's just too close to call. Both of them are awesome figures. I abstain.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I went with 193, I do like the other guy but Veers is right just another six armed guy.

This was a tuff one for me. But I had to choose the Snake Guy. He reminds me of a Naga. But the 6 armed guy is pretty kewl too.

I went with 193 as well. I like some of the ashura man sculpts but there are too many and this is prolly the weakest of them all. Had it been ashura man's father's sculpt (not sure what number that is) I would have went with that one, it is my favorite of the ashura man-like sculpts. 193 is a mucsle that inever had as a kid so I dont have many good memories of him, but was happy to finally add him to my collection in recent years. I agree with Veers, just overall awesome sculpt, good playability, good monster like appearance, and overall just pretty damn cool.

I'd also like to add, this tournament is pretty cool. I look forward to the BB/LB one after this one's conclusion because although I do not collect, recenlty I have seen a few that are pretty sweet (they might have been GB customs which would explain the awesomeness though) but would like to vote on figures I think are cooler looking than the other.

Two things:
1. I can’t believe Orgg isn’t voting. (C’mon!)
2. For the people that chose #129, please explain. I honestly don’t understand why someone would think #129 is a better figure than #193. :) I would love to hear any and all rationale.

I voted for 193. I thought he has a unique and cool sculpt, and has more than a passing resemblance to a Sea Monkey. But I do like 129, too. Of the six-armed guys, he was my second favorite (behind 109) because he looks like he means serious business! But the Sea Monkey wins this round for me.

I actually filled out the bracket, and I have 193 going all the way. I couldn't agree more with everything you said about it, Veers. And I only have this to add: It's a friggin SNAKE-MAN! How can you do better? Well, I'll tell you how...they didn't half-ass the design. They said, "hmmm we could just go with some cobra frills...like every single other snakeman-type-thing out there. But NO, we're gonna put GILLS on that mofo...why? it's not a fish...it probably doesn't even go near the water, but we're crazy like that! And hey, why not slap some ANTENNAE on while we're at it? Is it a martian? Who knows - who cares? And we could be lazy and give it some slits for a nose, like a snake....HELL NO...we're giving it a full-on schnozz....cuz that's just how we roll!"

Ahem. I think #153 was my favorite as a kid, and as far as characters go, I'm a big Warsman fan so I particularly like #59 and #231 (I find it a glaring omission that 59 is not even in this competition btw). But for sculpt alone, #193 is the King.

6-armed & 3-faced guys are cool, no doubt, but they lessened their value by making so damn many of them. But either way, they can't beat 193.

#193 without question. He conjures up memories of GI Joes Cobra La, Beowulf for some reason and Clash of the Titans.

The resemblance to the drawings of Sea Monkeys doesnt hurt either. The comparison to Naga's..i find that interesting as that is an area of study for me (way to point that out).

The 6 armed quasi- simian faced Muscle? No.

Divide & conquer works because of attachments people make to push-button issues, individual "leaders," parties, clans, tribes, policies, or agendas, leaving them open to manipulation.

#193 all the way. Whichever artist was responsible for this sculpt really out did himself. Perfect execution. I've always appreciated how cool the tail looked, and yet how nicely and firmly the sculpt was able to stand. Definitely one of the most unique mini-fig sculpts in any toy line.

Like Veers says, #129 gets lost amongst all the other examples of multi-armed sculpts and doesn't have any lasting appeal.

Wasn't 193 one of the Kinnikuman characters designed by fans in that contest? Kind of like the Fox.

I went with Ashuraman. Don't get me wrong Cobra Satan is an awesome sculpt, but I've never been a big fan of ReptileMen stuff. I guess this is another instance where my knowledge of the Kinnikuman series gets the best of me. I just really like Ashuraman, and of most of his sculpts this one is one of the best. In fact I actually traded one of my 193 figures that I only had one of without any hesitation, which isn't normal for me. :)

Well, i've already said once in this tournament that multiple arms would be the deciding factor for me, making Ashuraman a clear winner. Then you go and put him up against Cobra Satan. If i have a bigger weakness than multiple arms, it's snake men. I blame He-Man.

#193 gets my vote!

Sorry, Veers. This is one match I'm just going to watch. I can't decide. On one hand, Cobra Devil/Demon/Satin/Whatever is an excellent and unique sculpt. Bringing nothing (not even his kinda lame Kinniku-Movie appearance[Seigi Chojin vs Ancient Chojin]) other than sculpt and feeling, he's really cool.

...but then comes the Ashuraman sculpt. Taking away just about everything else, the Ashuraman sculpts were among my favorites as a kid. This sculpt in particular was the tag team champion when paired with Smileman. He just looks like he could so easily BEAT DOWN. He's big, and he doesn't look wimpy like the one with broken arms (which I had in blue) or passive (like the one in the toga I've got in Salmon). He just grabbed you and beat you to defeat.

I can't decide. No vote from me (and one vote probably wouldn't make the difference, anyway).

But then you’re really not choosing the best figure, right? You’re choosing your favorite character.

So the only person willing to explain their #129 vote bases it on something other than the figure?

I’m not trying to be difficult or confrontational. I’d just really love to hear why three other people (as of right now) think #129 is a better figure than #193. Please, I’m very curious!

And Orgg, again – c’mon! You can do it. Let this be your Sophie’s choice. :D
