My buddy says,

"Clean... yes... everything MUST be clean..."

"And to keep them clean, its probably a good idea to put them in a seperate room by themselves. Dont worry about not being able to go in and see them, you can just call them on the phone! :D Take it from me. Thats how I kept my wife clean."

You have to even watch out for stained wood also. When I pulled some figures off the golf ball display I was using (display thread), several were stuck, especially the orange ones. :D Now several of mine have stains on the feet from the display.

I did come up with a solution that will also work for some of the stuff here. I bought some of the sticky back felt, cut it into strips, and put it on the display shelves--no problem now.

is there a known way of getting the colour out of the keshi? if so i could try it our on the boglins ^_^

I tried several things and had no luck: alcohol, mineral spirits & acetone. I also tried scraping with an exacto knife, before & after the acetone. Nothing worked, I only succeeded in making the bottom of one look even worse. Posted Image

Is it possible that we're all going to develop cancer in our fingers from handling kinkeshi all these years? ^_^

And is it just Kinnikuman keshi that melt shizznit, or does this happen with other keshi? How about Battle Beast SDs? In any case, all my non-displayed mini-figs are stored in glass jars of various shapes and sizes.

PS- Gil, I was just thinking about that display this week. I'd had always wanted to get one. Ericnilla should read this thread! :D Hopefully he can find a paint or wood stain that is impervious to kinkeshi.

I'm pretty sure most of the Vinyl chloride Keshi figures melt crap. Plexi glass seems to pretty similar to other plastics. I would imagine it would melt as well, but I have no experience with such yet.

There needs to be a website: WWKM? (What Will Keshi Melt?). You lay or hang Keshi on a number of items, and have a chemist predict what things will melt/react, and then do the practical tests, updating every three-four months.

And then, when that's popular, WWMK? might be a good idea-- drop Keshi into Hydrachloric acid, Carbonic acid(soda water), Acetic Acid (concentrated vinegar), Acetone, Peroxide, etc., and see what will melt Keshi.

Maybe do a two-website thing where you chose which section you want to view?

(Notice: No :(. I'm serious. Get your crappy condition Keshi and someone start this project! I would, but I don't have a digital camera or a space to do the experiments in)

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I have never had any issues with mine. Mine are all displayed on a stained wood shelf with a layer of that gripping rubber mesh under them (that you put under carpets so that they will stay in one spot). Havent noticed any problems.....but now you all have me worried. :(
