I am very curious to see how this turns out. My initial reaction is to simply vote for #180. He was one of my favorites as a kid and is still one of my favorites, but I want to look through a more critical lens.

#180 has a very appealing, but basic, look. I think the stand-out feature is his head/helmet. It’s a pretty basic knight looking helmet, but there is just something magnetic about it. It really draws in my attention. The body is basic, with an acceptable overall aesthetic. #180 really has a great, playable pose too.

#162 is an announcer. The little figures of the MUSCLE line always draw attention, it seems to give them a special quality. Unfortunately, this figure doesn’t scream fun. It has an interesting design and nice sculpting, but very little playability. As a child I never used him as an announcer, he usually played the role of the wrestling manager – which meant he got beat up.

I guess I should have trusted my gut and simply voted for #180, but I don’t know if one of my favorite figures will be able to advance further in the tournament.

It was the announcer for me. I'm a sucker for the "baby" figures. There are only a few MUSCLEs with that body shape, so each baby seems unique and interesting. Also, for kids he plays a unique supporting role to MUSCLE wrestling matches.

I've never been a big fan of 180. I've always thought that he was just another generic knight figure, with little to distinguish him from all of the Robin Masks.

The Annoucer was a staple when I was a kid. He was at every match, and got beaten up by the loser of the match every time.

I think I secretly hated Mean Gene Okerlund.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

I voted 180, because at least he has muscles! :D

I must admit the little announcer is kinda funny,
but I think his head is just a little too bulby to appeal,
so I went with the masked minion instead.

I went with 162 on this one. Yes the other one has greater playability, but I agree with what Nate says and Marty's mom is a good lay. Also that 180 just seems to be thrown together to make another figure. Nothins particularly special about him. I dont remember him as a kid, I might not of had him, and if I did he never did anything of significance for me or the tournaments. The announcer and other little guys like meat, were unique, puyo puyo is still on of my favorites. So I had to go with 162 on this one.

Doc Nakano all the way ! Hair piece and all this figure is great. It does'nt hurt that he's hilarious in the kinnikuman cartoons.

I went with 180. I was never too fond of 162. I was always a sucker for knights, and well honestly, if you were choosing teammates for Dodgeball who would you choose? The Knight with a good strong throwing arm? Or the guy who could be the dodgeball?

I'll admit though, Nakano is probably one of the most detailed figures of the line, they even went as far as sticking the sunspots on his forehead. Very well done sculpt, but It's the knight for me. :D

Mean Gene (Nakano) gets my vote. 180 always reminded me of the bad guy from the Beastmaster movie.

How on Earth did #180 get the #2 seed in this region?!?! Since there's only 4 regions, that's saying he was assumed to be between the 5th and 8th best or most popular overall sculpts out of the entire set? :D Me thinks that somebody needs to be laying off the pipe.

I would have understood if it was a Robin Mask figure seeded for this one, but not Mostly Generic Knight Guy. I do like the helmet design too, but I don't find him to be all that noticeably unique or anything.

The Announcer, good old little Doc, is one of the most memorable guys in the whole line, clearly a nerd lost in the world of muscle-bound freaks and probably always two steps away from a beating. Just because.

162 is going to win this one, easy.

His seed, and all seeds, were based on favorite figure threads, intuition, and a review by moderators.

And let’s face it, there’s always controversy over the seeding process. :D

Going with Doc. Very nice, unique, memorable sculpt. However, I always loved #180 'cause he reminded me of this AD&D figure I was never allowed to have 'cause he was the devil.

I went with #180. He reminds me some of the Knight Characters in Forgotten Realms. Very Kewl. The little announcer dude just dosn't do anything for me.

I went with 162, Doc Nakano (or Mr. Peabody as I named him back in the day). He was always crucial in my matches for interviews and commentary!

for some reason, the Black KNight (180) was just there and didn't really stand out like some did. I do agree with GV, that his pose is very playable and his helmet is cool.

Here's to another upset in the games!!!!

#180 seemed to play the role of Hawaii in this tournament - big ranking, only to be blown out. The winner, the number fifteen seed, #162.
