#219 wins this one easily in my mind.

#219 was a favorite of mine when I was a kid. While he has a very specific pose, it just maybe him one of the most exciting to play with. I never knew why Muscleman was dressed like a mummy, but I loved it. It’s like he was able to be three different characters – a mummy, Muscleman, or Muscleman pretending to be the mummy.

Stepping back to be a little less sentimental, it’s still a great figure. It has a very dynamic action oriented pose. It also has fluidity to it. Lots of times when a toy tries to incorporate movement into the pose it can look out of proportion or just awkward, this figure does neither. Additionally his dynamic pose doesn’t make him off balance, another fault of many “dynamic” poses.

#54 just looks weird. The fact that he’s supposed to be a rock or mountain just doesn’t come through. His feet look incomplete instead of rocky, and his hands only match the kimono – in the sense both seem human. His odd appearance really hurts his playability too. Instead of imagining what he could be, you’re left trying to decipher the figure.

I think any fondness towards this figure will be because of people knowing his kinnikuman origins or story. As a stand alone figure, he’s just not that good.

I went with #54 because I like the concept better. (You have to remember, I didn't know the storyline as a kid.) I loved all the "rock" characters because they were so tough. I always had this guy flying head first into people with his head acting as a spear/arrow head. However, I feel the sculpt is not up-to-par with many other kin sculpts. The detailing on his gi could have been better, I think. The lines firmer, deeper, or some wrinkles, folds, anything. As it is, it's kind of bland. I also think his legs/feet could look better. I know they are supposed to be rock... but regardless, a little more detail doesn't hurt.

I never really cared for #219. I didn't like the pose and I resented the fact the he couldn't be laid on his back. (And my dad once accused chestnuts of being lazy.) One could argue that #219s sculpt is more detailed, I suppose, but the detailed wrinkles, in this case, don't look especially "cool" to me.

(Uh, oh, URS, there's not a clear-cut underdog/loser to vote for as has been your trend... Who ya gonna vote for? :D )

I went with 54. I don't like 219's pose and I also like rock figures.

To be blunt but honest...
I don't like either one of these :D

But the rocklordwannabe doesn't even have a decent face, so I'll vote for the other guy.
These kind of figures are why I collect Battle Beasts and not muscles :D
No offence to the fans though, de gustibus et coloribus non disputandum est.

Although that's exactly what we're doing here isn't it :D

219 all the way for me! 219 was always one of my favorite sculpts and as a kid he was always in my top five. I really loved the action pose and the sculpt is, in my opinion, the coolest of the Muscleman-related sculpts. I thought that his stripes were because he was either a mummy or a tiger. I opted for the latter when I was playing with him and named him Night Tiger (because the 219 that I had was purple). I have plenty of fond memories of this guy and I hope the figure goes far in the tournament.

54 is really cool, too. I've always had a fondness for the rock MUSCLEs and I like his cutesy sculpt. I admit that I never really thought he was a mountain, but I still thought he was cool. However, he doesn't hold a candle up to 219!

I was actually never too fond of the "Muscleman" figures when i was a kid, and that sentiment has pretty much held up into bitter old age. As a character, yeah, he's fine. But i resented the fact that it seemed like every other figure in the line was him. #219 is my Polar Strike Batman, my Flying Fists He-Man.

So, it's #54 for me, no question.

Haha! ;) I know you guys don't believe me, but I havn't actually been doing that on purpose. I have actually been hoping the figures I've been voting for would win. :D I guess my taste isn't the same as everyone else. :D

I don't really like the Running Kin Zebra. I had him as a kid, and never used him cause he didn't fit in with the other sculpts. I do like the Mountain, but this figure is one of the worst representations of a character out of the entire Kinkeshi line. He should be at least twice as big as he is, and his facial features are completely wrong. So this is actually a pretty hard choice for me. I guess I'm gonna go for the mountain. I actually like him where as I don't really like the Kin Zebra sculpt much at all.

I voted for 54, because I dislike 219. Symmetry is one of the things I admire in the MUSCLE design aesthetic. Also, I just can't play with 219.

219 all the way for me. I loved the unique pose and yes, it was always hard to "pin" him when I was a kid, but that's what made him great! I had him tag with the other Kinnikuman Zebra and they looked like Tigers so they were the "Wild Pack"

I never liked the Mountain. He just wasn't "big" enough to be anything but a manager for me. He just didn't seem to have anything that stood out to me.

I think my favorite part of these games is to hear everyone’s logic and rationale. Who knew so many people would have such flawed logic with #54?

Just kidding, just kidding. :D

But I am really surprised to see this one so close right now. I’m finding it hard to get any work done. I keep checking the score.

Absolutely. After this Tournament, maybe we could start a BB Tournament. Then maybe a MUSCLE vs. Battle Beasts Tournament! :D

I’m finding it hard to get any work done. I keep checking the score.

Me too. This is the first game that's been really close featuring a MUSCLE that I really care about. I just keep hitting reload a bunch of times to see if there are any new votes. :D

While both figures are ridiculously goofy looking, I've gotta go with 219, the pissed off vince mcmahon storming to the ring with his exaggerated swinging arms over the guy that just looks really really surprised.

I concur.

Ill go with the mummie solely because he doesnt look like a silly Kung Fu Klansmen from a distance.

This was probably the easiest vote for me so far. 219 all the way baby! Although I do like the mountains sculpt, and he is kind of cool. As a kid I always thought he was some sort of KKK clansman lol. Zebraman is awesome, like Veers, as a child, I always thought he was dressed up as a mummy for some reason, never even thought about zebras. I incorporated mummy like abilities and how he could whip people and tie them with his bandages. He was always a top runner, but rarely a champion. I have yet to see my champions on this list to be honest. :(

219. The choice is easy here. The Zebra has one of the coolest poses in the line. I would always make him clober other muscles with that devastating left hook.
They dropped the ball on the Mountain figure. For the longest time I thought he was a big piece of CHEESE ! :(
