When I was a kid, this was Big John Stud and the Pirate Goblin. Of course Stud was the favorite, but the Pirate Goblin was always the better sculpt. I used to pair him up with Andre the Giant (the big warty ogre guy).

My vote. Pirate Goblin!

Wow, tournament pace really starting to pick up now with less than 24 hours between matches! Not really a big fan of either of these sculpts so whatev, I'm sure one will defeat the other!

I vote for #133. His armor, face, and huge hands make him look like something i'd draw. I just find the gobliny look very appealing.

This is another game that I'm pretty indifferent about. #14 has a generic body shape which is cool in that he looks like a strong wrestler, but it's not particularly unique. I always assumed this guy was a generic no-named warrior, similar to the Cobra Trooper.

#133 is more unique and interesting. But I've never been a fan of the face sculpt and the arms droop, making him less action-oriented.

I ended up going with #133.

Hey looks like Trapjaw has a secret muscle-past as well
Too bad he ain't got no mechanical arm yet...

So I'm gonna go with the punky_with_the_POWERFULL_arms-troll!

Trapjaw just seems too naked here.

I went with Robin Mask. Not because I'm a huge Robin Mask fan, but I really like most of the Robin sculpts in particular. In the manga I thought Robin was pretty much a terd anyway. But I have always really like this sculpt. I can't say I cared much for the other guy. I don't think I really had him as a kid.

#14, I never had the other one as a kid, but to be honest, Im not crazy about him anyways so it didnt ruin my childhood. #14 was always a top runner in my tournaments, and he may have won a couple of them. I remember he would impale people with his spike and was the master at body slams. Hahahha. This tournament is bringing back a lot of memories. Go #14!!

Where are you comin' up with these sculpts?

As stated in the first thread, "The figures have been seeded based on LRG threads and administrator discussions." This is the plan for each tournament.

As for the figures, I agree with some of the previous posts – neither are amazing.

I do like #14. He has a basic, very playable sculpt. It seems somewhat refreshing in the sea of bizarre MUSCLE figures.

#133 is a good monster, but has a terrible pose. The face is almost too cartoony. #133 seems to have a specific role in the MUSCLE line of toys. This is the monster figure that gets beat up, which is important. You can’t have every figure the super ass kicker, someone has to lose.

#133 wins because he’s a loser.

#133 all the way. He reminds me of the goblins/trolls/big demons in the Hellboy graphic novels (iron shoes, in particular), which makes him alright in my book.

This game seems to have lost steam, so I don’t think there will be too many broken hearts if I end it early. Although lhssenior did seem a bit miffed that the last game ended 12 minutes shy of 24 hours. ;)

The winner: #133
