Well im going to take a guestamation.

These maths are based on the Jokers
The First 6 sculpts (excluding scout) came in 12 different colours, when the new tribes were introduced in 1994 four figures were retired and another five introduced, these were released in 6 colours and any remaining figures were released in these colours too, however Bright Orange and Neon Orange are near enough the same so existing sculpts would only get released in 5 extra colours except for the Spy's which look to only come in black from there on, so....

First 12 colours: 6 x 12 = 72
Neon Colours : 5 x 6 = 36
Existing Sculpt in Neon COlours: 1 x 5 = 5

72 + 36 + 5 = 107 plus the Chiefs in Gold, Silver, Scouts in GITD Purple, Green and the Black Spy = 112

Taking this theory and using it with the other tribes gave me this:

Clumsies = 110
Freaks = 71
Greedies = 109
Jokers = 112
Rude Dudes = 109
Tough Guys = 109
Army Guys = 108
Disgustings = 81 (2 Sculpts were in the rare dudes which were available in Neon Colours)
Medievals = 38 (Only available in Neon Colours, scout only in gitd green and spy only in black)
Prehistorics = 41 (or 42 depending on wether the Spy came in black)
Samurai = 16 (Only in 4 Neon Colours)
Cool Dudes = 56
Slime = 10 (Based on wether they only came in 2 colours, and the 2 rarity's found)

So a full set should consist of = 971 :yahoo:

Let me know what you think or if you spot any anomalies.

Each Samurai was only available in 2 of the 4 colours

To the best of my knowledge, only 1 orange and 1 pink Slime has been discovered so far

Prehistoric Scout is available in numerous ordinary colours

I didnt realise the samurai on came in 2 colours each, cool ill change that.

I counted the scout in all colours which I think is 5 (Green, Purple, Blue, Red and Yellow)

I think 5 extra slimes have been found you own 2, orko owns 2 and i think gavin owns 1, i was just taking a guess that they were all available.

Re: the slimes, what I meant was that only orange Splutter and pink Splash have been discovered, as far as I know, although there are multiples of each figure.

I've never seen Samurai in more than two colours. Figures are either available in orange and yellow or blue and green.

Nice to know theres samurai's only in two colours, I remember when you told me that a while back and it was a nice feeling knowing I had almosy half of them rather than only about a quarter:) down to needing just one now, dam you orange Yarn figure :-D

As for slimes I've only seen pink splash and orange splutter too. But as those two are pretty damn rare and not seen that much its probable that they were released in all 4 colours each.. I guess

It's possible they did more orange and pink slimes, however it would be odd that a few orange Splutters and pink Splashes have turned up and none of the others.

Does anyone have a fair amount of Prehistorics figures, from what I can see is each figure was made in 3 colours each ??? , I have the first 4 colours in Green and Purple and the last 4 in Blue, Red and Yellow.
Anyone got anything that breaks the pattern?

72 + 36 + 5 = 107 plus the Chiefs in Gold, Silver, Scouts in GITD Purple, Green and the Black Spy = 112

Taking this theory and using it with the other tribes gave me this:

Clumsies = 110

Jokers = 112
Rude Dudes = 109
Tough Guys = 109

Medievals = 38 (Only available in Neon Colours, scout only in gitd green and spy only in black)
Prehistorics = 41 (or 42 depending on wether the Spy came in black)
Samurai = 16 (Only in 4 Neon Colours)
Cool Dudes = 56
Slime = 10 (Based on wether they only came in 2 colours, and the 2 rarity's found)

So a full set should consist of = 971 :yahoo:

I have no idea how you come up with 110 for the clumsies: first 6 sculpts x 17 = 102

Then I am not sure if the next 3 sculpts only came out in neon? If so 3 x 5 = 15

If the last 3 sculpts came out in all colours then: 3 x 17 = 51

plus gold and silver chief, gitd green and purple scout and black spy = 5

So if the last 3 sculpts only came out in neon colours there are 122 total clumsies, but if they came out in all 17 colours there are 158 total, right?

You are forgetting that sculpts were retired as new sculpts came in.

So the original 6 Clumsies sculpts were available in the 12 original colours (6 x 12 = 72)

Then Tat and Trub were retired, Tong became the black spy, and Tell, Tang and Messenger Talk brought in.

This left 3 new figures in the 6 neon colours (3 x 6 = 18), 3 old figures in 5 new neon colours (Aikola didn't count neon and bright orange as different colours as they are so similar = 3 x 5 = 15) plus black spy, gold and silver chief, green and purple scout (5)

72 + 18 + 15 + 5 = 110

Just wondered if anyone had any Army Guys in these 5 Colours (Brown, Grey, Olive, Dark Yellow, Tan) if not I think I might have had a breakthrough regarding the year the colours were released in.
To be honest its been staring me in the face for a while as the Disgustings have the same colour scheme.

I've only seen Army Guys in second year colours onwards and they don't show up on the pack in leaflets from the first year. I hadn't noticed the inconsistency with your numbers before but I guess this means we can reduce the total number downwards by 30 or so right?

Same here, i have only seen the army guys in the brighter colours, but none in the bland and more boring colours.
Never thought of it before, but it looks like the samurai boglins story, only released in later colours.

Maybe thats their way of distinguishing their year of release?
