This is an easy one for me.

I think #136 is a pretty cool monster figure. There are two things that hurt this figure. The first problem is the pose. It seems to be a pretty universal feeling, if a figure's arms are stuck at their sides it’s not too fun. The second problem is the third eye. When I was a kid I thought he was furrowing his brow, or that there was a problem with the sculpt. It wasn’t until I was older did it dawn on me that it was a third eye.

I think #22 is just really cool. I know he’s got “the pose,” but it doesn’t even matter with this figure. I think there are three things that make this a standout figure. First is the body structure. I don’t know why but this just seems like a strong figure. While there are lots of muscular figures, this almost has a comic book muscle do it (sort of a Frank Quitely meets Jim Lee?).

The second standout feature is the head/face/mask. I’m not quite sure what it is, but it works this time. I think this is the difference between #22 mysterious head and #136 weird third eye. #22 odd head let’s you imagine and fantasize what it could be, #136’s eye just seems odd.

And probably the most important feature is the clamp. I didn’t know it was a clamp when I was a kid. I just thought it looked cool, and still think it just looks cool. But I think it is the vaguely brick like pattern that makes it a great figure. I used to imagine this figure transforming into the wall or pyramid or top figure. It was like the brick were coming out of his shoulders and he was shape shifting.

#22 is my clear winner.

This was a tough decision for me. #22 is a great sculpt. It looks cool and "badass", with a really strong-looking physique and an interesting head sculpt. Also, his design employs an every-day object, which is always a bonus with MUSCLE figures.

But #136 is also a great figure. The different skin textures are great, I love the third eye, and he has a very brutish body shape. I never had him as a kid, but if I did, he would get plenty of playtime from me. So, I voted for #136. But #22 is awesome too, so I won't be too distraught if 22 wins instead. ;)

136 is way more fun to play with. His sculpt is more interesting. I really like how the bumpy skin doesn't line his entire body. His head also protrudes from his body better than some of the other monstrous sculpts. 22 is a cool character, the unique muscle distribution isn't enough to make his sculpt as cool as 136. 136 is possibly the best monster-type sculpt in the line and his characteristics ignite more imagination (the third eye, the skin, etc). He wins easily.

There's just so much to like about both of these figures, but in the end i went with #136. Mostly just because i've never been able to tell what's going on with #22. He always just looked to me like he kinda had a bunch of random crap stuck to him.

Well, I'm going with Random Movie Character. I don't know what movie he's from, but he's much better in figure form. The figure is just so solid and tough, with that odd skin texture it seems he could just about win anything needed.

And since Wikipedia stirs up some good conversation, here's the other guy's profile.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

This one is easy for me. I went with #22, I just love the way this figure looks. I tend to normally like the more bulky muscular figures, but the expression on 136's face was so dopy looking that I always pretended he was pinheaded or something. Although strong, he would get beat very easily. I didnt even really ever play or pay much attention to 136 until I microwaved him and posed him better for fighting. Even then, he had that gay ass look on his face and I could not get past that. #22 just is cooler plain and simple. Vote 22 or die.

Man, that's a weird color scheme. I definitely didn't expect him to have so much neon green.

I dig the MCW color scheme much better, which you can see on this page:

You can also check out Jason's take on #136. Pretty awesome stuff!

I agree that he’s a cool monster figure, but that’s very interesting statement. Could you be more specific?

Off the top of my head I would think the Claw or #193 are near the top of the monster list, maybe even the Tortle figure?

Manriki for the win! Dude's got a F'in vice grip on his shoulders!?!?! How do you even begin to mess with that?

....and Veers, you misinterpreted my statement on the last one, I'm glad these are picking up in speed, at ~2-3 days each it'll take about 4 months to finish off the tournament, I'm not that patient ;)

Oh, he hates the Tortle. Don't get him started.

Well, I didn't realize how utterly hideous the Manriki's true colors were (MUSCLE green must be perfect for him), but in any case I could not help but vote for him. Partly the whole dying thing, but also I find he goes for a greater sense of originality in his sculpt than Random Triclopean Ogre. I will admit that 136 probably has an advantage on detail, but the ridiculous face and inability to stand out from the crowd of other Giant Hulking Monsters hurt him way too much. Vote goes to 22 without a single regret.

Who do you guys think I voted for! #22 man! He was always one of the coolest sculpts in my opinion. :( I like the 3 eyed ogre as well, but I got tired of getting him in every lot of muscles I ever bought. :p I swear I had like 10 of him at one time, and only had 2 Manrikis.

I went with 136. I just like that size and overpowering that he looks. he has the bumps on his body which is cool. Just a great monster. Sort of reminded me of the Abomination from the Hulk comics, and that's what I named him. :(

I liked 22 too and he was always had that powerful look to him. With those vices on his shoulders, totally made him look killer! I called him Vice Versa.

Was a tough call again, but Monsters always win out with me heehee :p

Hmmm....battle of the beef. Both sculpts are fair with #22 seeming to be a bit more complex but almost to much so for that body type. While both look physically imposing the facial sculpt of #22 gives me the impression of man with a false sense of confidence....

Where as #136 looks as though he is .05 cents short of a nickel and could ape **** at any moment.
