I voted for the hippo. I was on the edge on who to vote for and the weapons decided it for me. The SS Tiger has one of THE lamest weapons out of all the figures. I like the way the hippo looks. Really well sculpted head.

Give love to te Hippo. With his battle axe he will cleave through the competition like heat through butter. Or something like that. Sabertooth has afencing weapon for goodness sake. He shouldn't be taken seriously the stuck up snob.

Yep, the weapon was the decicing factor in this one for me. I am not a big fan of series 2 beasts other then Bludgeonly Bulldog. The Hippo's ax is just sweet...compared to that fencing sword saber tiger has... Sad really, the sabertooth tiger is such an awesome animal to create a Beastformer out of.

I voted Sabre Sword Tiger. I loved him as a kid. I called him Sabre Tooth. I have to admit this one was hard. Because I really like the Hippo's looks.

i voted for the hippo. hippos are awesome animals and dangerous too. the other dude looks like a sabre toothed beaver

I think for a sabre tooth tiger, they could have made his armor a little more intimidating. I'm thinking something black or red, not this wussy aqua color. The skin tone and armor color combo are aesthetically unpleasing to me.

I was actually waiting for SaberSwords match so I could vote for him, but for some reason after looking at both figures I've changed my mind. I really like Saber Sword, but his expression is just too...weird. So I had to go with the Hippo. His axe is fun too.

Sabre Sword Tiger looks like a lovable children's show character with unfortunate walrus tusks. He's got a terrible weapon and that armor's not going to win him any friends either.

On the other hand, you've got Humongous Hippo. Hippos are amazing and dangerous. Did you know that more people in Africa are killed every year by hippos than by any other animal? And yes, that includes everyone's precious lions.

And when you factor a battle axe into the equation, Humongous Hippo simply cannot be defeated in this round, there is no contest.

Both figures are kewl, but the hippo is just that much better!

My first thoughts when I first saw the Hippo,
which I didn't have at the time,
seeing him in Lee's Guide to Battle Beasts:

"Wow, cool... a Hippo,... and look at that axe "
Went Egay straight away to find a lot with him in it!
(Didn't surf LRG yet either at that time...)

The Sabretooth on the other hand,
looks far from menacing, his armor color is ok for me,
but his skin color ain't ( would that be a racist remark? ).
His weapon is cool AND uncool,
it should look sharper and without ball on the end.

The Hippo, looks really strong and has a fairly standard,
yet goodlooking colorcombination, plus he resembles
a hippopotamus a lot closer than Sabretooth does
his earth-animal cousin.

DK, who thinks this TOMAHAWK AXE is one of the coolest BB-weapons around!

but I’m quickly learning that BB don’t always have the sharpest paint.

Which is why we have Eric and Marty to repaint them!! My most treasured Beasts are my repaints.

Since so many people seem to be using the weapon as the deciding factor I don't feel to bad using the name. Humungus Hippo is a good name but it got my hopes up for a hefty figure. Hippo looks a little to small for my taste would easily blend in with the crowd. So I went with Sabre Sword Tiger.

I voted for the fanged naked mole rat.

Y'know, I'm realizing that these guys don't really catch my fancy as MUSCLEs do; in concept they sound really cool, but with the standard paint jobs and sculpts... well, they just don't look quite right. I NEVER would've guessed that guy was a tiger (unless it said it on the package), and the ape from last round looked like The Blob stuffed into armor-- which was awesome in concept.

I don't mind anthromorphic stuff-- hell, MUSCLE is mostly anthromorphic stuff! ...but having it all in odd armor seems like it takes away from potential interesting quirks that the sculpts could have.

I like(not love) both of these figures.
but the spikes on the shoulder pads did me in.
Sabre Sword Tiger gets my vote...I really hate his weapon.
