I went with 163 this time. He's in my top ten favorite MUSCLEs. I mean, a MUSCLE based on a prehistoric mammoth just oozes coolness. His main problem is that he can't stand up very well, though.

#1 is a pretty cool MUSCLE in his own right. He has a cape and a championship belt, and his hands on his hips make him look like a MUSCLE leader. But he's really not in the same league as Mammothman.

I could basically copy my post from this thread.

#163 is just a stunning sculpt. It is probably one of the most visually interesting figures to look at, and one of the best figure ideas. Plus it is a very playable figure with its pose. But there is one major downside to this figure, he doesn’t stand up very well.

It seems like you have to go through an ocean of figures to find one that stands up without falling over with the smallest tap. Sure #195 doesn’t stand up, and sure there are other figures that have problems standing up – but those tend to be the wimpy figures kids wouldn’t care about. But here’s proof why #163 is an amazing figure. Even with this huge fault he’s still an awesome figure, and kids and adults will happily accept that major flaw.

#1 is probably the best (maybe “co-best” with #219) Muscleman sculpt. I know as a kid I played more with this figure then some of the other Muscleman figures. Why? Because he just looks so cool, so heroic. I think if this figure had run up against most other figures in the first round he would have easily advanced. I don’t think he has a chance against #163.

#163 is the better figure.

I went with #163 all the way. I love all the "animal people" sculpts! However, that sculpt of Kinnikuman is my favorite, even despite the poor playability of the sculpt.

I went with 1 here is why

1. He is number 1
2. He can be made into a keychain without damage
3. 163 looks better in colors than in flesh, I don't no why that influenced my descision but it did.
If your two sample pics had orange muscles I would have rocked a vote for 163.

Its sad to see two good sculpts and one of them has to get blown out.

I never cared for the caped Kinnikuman figure.

I'm going for Mammothman.

Mammothman (マンモスマン, Mammothman?) is a fictional character who appeared in Yudetamago's manga series Kinnikuman. In the anime he is voiced by Masaharu Satou.

Classification: Zangyaku Choujin
Homeland: Siberia, Russia
Height: 279 cm
Weight: 400 kg
Age: Unknown, but has been alive since at least the last Ice age
Choujin Kyoudo: 78,000,000 Power
Trademark Techniques: Powerful Nose Breaker, Nose Fencing, Ice Rock Gyro
First Appearance: Manga Chapter 274, Anime 2 Episode 2
Mammothman is a mastodon choujin who appeared as a member of Kinnikuman Super Phoenix's team during the final story arc of the manga. His trademark was extending tusks that seemed to have a mind of their own, and would seek out and consume any exposed blood nearby.

Our glorious Milky Way is a tiny, infinitesimal speck of sand in this vast, incomprehensible universe. And somewhere in that Milky Way is our own solar system, less than one billionth of that speck of sand that is the Milky Way. And then there is our planet Earth, one hundred trillionth of that one billionth of that one speck of sand. And on this planet Earth there is DEV-0, an insignificant blemish with a lifespan too short to measure when placed in infinite time.

And you are here, with them, as so many specks of sand.

Gotta go with Mammothman here, no question. I mean, #1 is my favorite sculpt of the Kinnikuman character, but that doesn't really get him too far against a guy with a Mammoth head.

It seems that it's the unfortunate curse of "hero" figures, the main character is doomed to never be the most interesting figure in a line. He-Man, Duke, Optimus, Kinnikuman...all fine figures, all beaten out by far by others in their lines.

Ahh this was an easy one for me. Mammoth man all the way. I loved this figure so much as a child. He spent many a day being my world champ even. I rotated the world champ between maybe 10 or so mucsles depending on which one I liked the best at the time. If he was not the champ, he was always really close to the championship. That muscle man sculpt is prolly the lamest out of all the muscle man sculpts. Even lamer than the cowboy musle man sculpt. The only thing that sculpt had going for it was the cape, and that wasnt enough to make him champ.

Just remember you may have had mammothman as champ (or any other figure) but #1 holds the belt!

Maybe he bought it Million Dollar Man style, paying someone to take a dive but he is immortalized in plastic for eternity as the champ.

ACK!! What a toughy! Both of these sculpts are great! I've always loved dinosaur prehistoric humanoids. I mean I had over 100 Ninja Turtles back in the day. ;) But I really like this Muscleman sculpt! Playability Mammothman gets the win. Likability Kinnikuman gets the win. I don't know.....I'll go for the underdog and vote Kinnikuman. I think he looks the best in all his available colors. I just really like the sculpt!

....Being the face of MUSCLE will only protect you for so long...

In this case that stupid facial expression, cape, and "thong " suit reminds me to much of a chinese comedy skit i saw years back of 2 guys in blue and red swimsuits and matching "spaceballs" helmets.

Once was enough.

On the other hand Michael Jackson has finally let Elephant man out of the closet and it looks like all of the loving treatment has done him some good. He looks strong, vicious ..and not into "alternative lifestyles".

He gets my vote by default. Not even having the title belt on will save that outfit.

Arrgghh, this one was a toughie.

I went with Mammothman, because, hey, A Mammoth is cool!!! the Sculpt was very playable and he looked strong! Very fun character to play with!

Muscleman with the Championship Belt! Who could go wrong with that! He was my champion and you couldn't beat this guy!!!! But over all, the figure wasn't the best sculpt for play.

Mammothman FTW!!!
